Eduard watched the happy baby who was squeezing his finger hard enough to crush the finger of a normal human, he watched as Clark squeezed and bit his finger with joy and an infectious laugh; after playing with young Clark for a few moments a smile also formed on Eduard's face before he let out a sigh of disappointment at himself, it had been a few days since he had explained everything to his sister and ended up declaring that he had forgotten Clark, and even though he hadn't really been reprimanded for it he still felt really bad and had been spending time with the little boy, time that made him wonder how he had managed to forget him before.
- Can you believe I was almost using you to stage a little movie, Clark? - Eduard asked as he poked Clark's cheek.
- Waaa!
- What movie? It's a little-known movie, in fact I think I'll rewrite the script and release it when you're older...
- Ba?
- I forgot to tell you the name, right? - Eduard smiled and nudged the little boy's forehead. - The name of the movie is "Home Alone".
- Da!
- Yes, it's a fun movie!
- Pfft!
When Eduard heard this laugh, his body immediately stiffened as his face grew redder and redder; slowly turning around, Eduard saw Kara, who was trying very hard to hold in her laughter as she looked at him. - Hey Kara! How's your day going? - Eduard asked stiffly as he turned his attention back to Clark and poked his cheek mechanically.
- It's great actually! - Kara replied with an amused smile that turned slightly mischievous as she continued. - And it's even better now Ed~
Eduard continued to poke Clark's cheek, making him laugh while ignoring Kara, who approached and hugged him before resting her chin on his shoulder and looking at Clark. - Didn't you go shopping with my sister? - Eduard asked while keeping all his attention on the smiling Clark, buying time for his embarrassment to fade.
- We did, but since she wanted to go and fly back, it didn't take long. - Kara replied as she arched her shoulders and then smiled before kissing Eduard's cheek and commenting - You know you don't have to be embarrassed, right? In fact, watching you play with him is adorable~
Eduard looked at his smiling girlfriend and gave her a slightly shy smile before calming down and hugging her waist with his free hand. - Whatever you say! - After exclaiming, he smiled and gave her a quick kiss, then turned his attention to the baby.
- Has something happened to him? - Kara looked at her cousin after realizing that Eduard must have had something to say.
- Yes, but it's nothing serious... In fact, I think it's a very good thing! - Eduard exclaimed and then grabbed Kara's hand and detached a single finger and wiggled it in front of little Clark to get his attention, which obviously worked since a few seconds later he was shaking Kara's finger while smiling happily. - What do you think?
- ... - Kara looked at her finger in silence and then at her cousin, this action repeated a few times before she looked strangely at Eduard. - Do you want to show me how adorable my cousin is?
- ...
Eduard was incredulous to hear this remark, so much so that it took him a few seconds, even with his brain, to come to his senses and let out a laugh.
- Of course, he is indeed adorable... - Eduard replied and poked his cheek again, provoking another wave of laughter from the little boy. - But even if he is adorable, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about, Kara. - Eduard commented and then a sigh escaped his lips before he pointed his finger at Clark's hand, which was holding Kara's tightly.

- Hm? - After hearing Eduard's question, Kara turned her attention to her finger and tried to feel something, but unfortunately, she couldn't; the truth was that both she and Clark had only been on earth for a short time, so they weren't as good at self-control or perceiving certain things as Eduard. Kara, who had felt simply invincible since arriving on earth, had never tried to realize how different levels of strength could be perceived from her aura of invulnerability, so unlike Eduard she simply felt her cousin's touch and realized there was no extra strength behind it, since for someone like her even if Spider-Man punched her she would only notice the scream of pain he would probably let out.
- Sigh... - Eduard sighed in exasperation and gave Kar a hard look. - Haven't you noticed that Clark's strength has grown? Even after I taught you how to feel it?
- ... - Kara was silent for a few moments before smiling awkwardly. - Did it? I didn't even notice hehe...
Eduard looked at her carefree demeanor and sighed internally again, and even though he found her current behavior adorable, he knew very well how important noticing the slightest changes could be both for controlling his own strength and for avoiding being taken by surprise in some specific situations.
- Kara, you promised me practice!
- I know...
- So why haven't you practiced? With your brain it wouldn't take more than a few days...
Kara was silent for the moment, after all, she knew he was right, had months since he's finishe taught her how to do it, but she'd just let it go without caring since she could control her strength without it and didn't really believe him when he said it would help her stay safe, after all, what could hurt her? The mutants? She's seen them on the news and even faced a few and can guarantee that they can't hurt a single strand of her hair, so why should she care? Of course, she might think so, but that still doesn't mean she wasn't embarrassed now that she'd been questioned by Eduard who believed she could tell how the force affected her aura.
Looking at Kara's expression, Eduard knew that she was underestimating the dangers that existed on the planet even after he had warned her so many times.
'Should I use magic on her?
The thought of tormenting his girlfriend with magic and then explaining that there were several magicians in this world crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed it, he wasn't willing to do something like that, after all, he would be the one to lose out in the end given Kara's temper.
- Forget it... - Eduard raised his hands in surrender and gave up on persuading his girlfriend to train. He'd already tried it several times, either by pointing out her weaknesses or explaining what her lack of practice and reflexes could do if she faced someone of her level, but it was all in vain in the end, so he could only hope that the Aliens and mages would start appearing in droves so that she'd take it more seriously.

Eduard smiled slightly and squeezed one of Kara's cheeks lightly. - Let's forget it, even if I fight with you, I'm sure you still won't practice... - Eduard commented lightly and saw the relieved smile appear on Kara's face. - Since you've fooled me for so long, lunch is on you today! - Eduard exclaimed and picked Clark up from his crib as he went into the living room.
- Of course! - Kara smiled and went into the kitchen, she didn't really mind that since she liked to cook, why? As a Kryptonian she has better taste buds than humans in general, of course, not to the extent that ordinary food is awful, but still, no one would want to eat something that always seems to have too much salt or no salt at all, right? For this reason, both she and Eduard are great cooks and enjoy cooking.
- What do you want?
- Hmm... - Eduard pondered for a few moments, deliberately taking his time as he shook Clark. - Is there any pasta left over from the pasta we made yesterday?
- I think so, at least enough for both of us.
- Then I'll have spaghetti with meatballs! You took my order~

After Kara went into the kitchen Eduard simply turned on the television and waited for Kara to call him before they had lunch together.
