Doma's soft smile remained as he taunted the sisters, his words dripping with mock sympathy. "If you just tell me what you know about the gods and the mountain, I might spare your sister."
He was entirely unfazed by Kanae's pained expression, as though her agony meant nothing to him. "Surely you don't want to see your sister die because of your refusal to speak."
Kanao's eyes burned with hatred as she glared at Doma, her hands gripping her sword tightly. Her voice was a strained growl. "Don't lie to me. Even if I told you, you would never spare us. I'm not as naive as my sister."
She felt the weight of her sister's sacrifice and the unyielding resolve they had made to fight demons together, no matter the cost. "Sister, I won't run. And even if you're too strong, I won't escape. Today, I'll die alongside my sister."
Kanae, her face pale and coughing up blood, held on to her sword with the intent to break it, despite the blood flowing freely from her wounded shoulder.
Doma's face grew cold as his patience wore thin. He had no desire to disappoint Muzan, who was relentless in his demands. "Well, if you won't cooperate, I'll have to find other Pillars. Don't worry, unlike other women, I'll eat you both clean."
Doma's demeanor shifted, the once warm smile turning sinister. He began to tighten his grip around Kanae's neck, preparing to snap it.
But before he could, a sudden, intense light erupted around the sisters. Doma's face went pale with shock.
The light blazed brightly, searing through the darkness. The sensation was like placing raw flesh into a hot pan, causing Doma to recoil in horror. His previous encounter with this divine light had left him severely wounded.
"This! What is this light!" Doma's voice turned frantic as he stumbled backward, the divine radiance causing him immense pain.
The light, warm and sacred, enveloped both Kanae and Kanao, alleviating their pain. They saw the illumination coalesce, forming two "Eyes of the Gods" — one with a golden frame and blue crystalline center adorned with butterfly patterns, and the other similarly framed but with a peony motif.
The divine eyes descended gently. The one with the butterfly design floated towards Kanao, while the peony-adorned eye settled in front of Kanae. Both sisters gazed in awe as the eyes were lifted into their hands.
The voice of the deity resonated within them, soothing and heartfelt. "Have you resolved to sacrifice yourselves for the happiness of others? Your noble wish is recognized. Take my blessing and live more freely."
Tears began to flow down Kanao's cheeks as the divine words reached her soul, releasing a wave of emotions she had kept bottled up since their parents' death at the hands of demons.
"Big sister, the deity has acknowledged our wish. We have received the blessing of the gods," Kanao said through her tears, overwhelmed with emotion.
Kanae, equally affected, felt a profound sense of peace and validation. The divine recognition had granted them a new strength, even in the face of their impending demise.
"This power is incredible!" Kanao exclaimed, her eyes shining with newfound hope and determination. The blessing of the gods had not only uplifted their spirits but had also rekindled their resolve to fight for what was right.
After acquiring the Vision, Kanae felt a warm energy flowing through her body. Her previously battered form was instantly healed, with not a single scar remaining.
The severe injuries she had sustained meant she wouldn't have been able to continue fighting demons, and her frozen lungs would have been fatal soon.
"Demon! We can't let it escape!"
Shinobu snapped back to focus and looked in the direction where the Upper Moon Two was fleeing.
As soon as she grasped the Vision, she could feel the immense power it granted. It enhanced her ability to harness the power of insects and perfectly complemented her "Insect Breathing" techniques.
With the "Insect Dance: Mock" technique, she could now fly like a butterfly. Other techniques took on abilities similar to demon blood arts. Her swordsmanship also saw a tremendous increase in power, amplified at least tenfold.
"Shinobu, it's too late. That demon's speed is too fast…"
Before Kanae could finish speaking, a thunderous crash was heard as a dark figure crashed down in front of them.
Boom—
The ground was upheaved, dirt and debris flying everywhere, creating a large human-shaped crater.
"Ah~ how unlucky! Even though we're so far from that mountain, why would the gods notice us here? Who are you people?"
The figure that crashed was none other than Doma. He quickly rose from the ground, his once-glamorous robes in tatters, his face contorted with anger and blood vessels bulging. His two iron fans had been shattered.
Kanae and Shinobu quickly assumed fighting stances. Just as they were wondering why the Upper Moon Two was so battered, two familiar figures emerged from the front.
"Lord felt the battle here, so my brother and I were sent to help."
Kamisato Ayato stepped out from the shadows of the trees, his voice as gentle as a spring breeze. Seeing the Visions in the sisters' hands, he was surprised and then offered his congratulations.
"It seems the gods have indeed watched over you in the recent battle. Congratulations."
The Vision can be obtained in various ways. Although Ayato was not familiar with the method mentioned by Lord Kamisato, he himself received his Vision when he took on the role of the Inazuma Shrine's commissioner on the day his parents passed away.
Kamisato Ayaka followed closely behind, emerging from the shadows with the "Tenshukaku Blade" in hand, gazing intently at the Upper Moon Two.
"Brother, now is not the time for that."
Though she knew from the information provided by the Shogun that the Upper Moon Two could regenerate instantly, she was shocked that, despite severing Doma into multiple pieces and turning his head into five parts, he could still regenerate at such speed and escape.
"Yes, you're right. For you demon slayers who have just received the Vision and are still unfamiliar with its use, watch how my brother and I utilize it."
Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka both charged toward Doma.
"Hehe, without the demon slayer's sword, you think you can kill me? No matter how strong you are, it doesn't matter!"
Doma's face twisted with fury as he realized the trouble he was in. He had barely fled when he collided with the two who were now attacking him.
In the moment of fighting them, he understood that their speed and strength surpassed his own. Moreover, they possessed the same glowing orbs granted by the gods.
Not only that, but the white-haired woman was using ice-based blood arts just like him, but her powers were even stronger!
But without that kind of sword, even if he were chopped into pieces, he could quickly regenerate.
He only needed to wear them down!
"It's not only the Nichirin Blade that can kill demons. If a demon is cut into pieces smaller than grains of sand, can it still regenerate?"
As Kamisato Ayaka spoke, the Vision at her waist glowed, and a chilling blue light enveloped her body. The "Tenshukaku Blade" transformed into a light blade.
"Kamisato Style: Frost Extinction—"
