Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: The identity of her savior...

"You showered…" Treyton stated as he snuggled into Yuki, his nose buried in her neck, taking in every ounce of Yuki's distinctive scent. Subsequently, his large arm gripped Yuki's small waist, drawing her much closer to himself.

"Treyton…" Yuki called sensually. Treyton's breath against her neck was weakening her by the second, while a tingly sensation repressed the lower part of her stomach. What were all these strange feelings? Yuki's melted brain forced a thought.

Having enough of the unpleasant sight, Jacek abruptly rose to his feet. His face was red with rage; his eyes blazing like hot coals.

Jacek's sudden movement startled the two, jolting them out of their heedless states. Treyton immediately reddened from embarrassment then turned his face away from Yuki, his eyes wide from shock at his own behavior.

Yuki's reaction was no different from Treyton's. She was both surprised and shied by her unusual reaction to Treyton's conduct. She blushed even more when she felt the tingly sensation of her core against her undergarment. What was that about?

"What do you think you are doing?!" Jacek grumbled while staring fiercely at Treyton.

Treyton run his hand through his hair, his brows creased, "Shit… forgive me Yuki, Jacek," Treyton apologized. He was aware of Yuki's irresistibly enticing scent, it was mild before, but now… no wonder it stirred his inner beast!

"I lose control when I sense a good scent, sorry for my discourtesy, you two," Treyton added remorsefully.

Jacek's vexation was not appeased in the slightest by Treyton's words and Yuki's sudden bashfulness did little to help, if not had more woods to the raging flame in his heart. Jacek hated her new attitude. He hated the look in her eyes. He hated the sheepishness that had replaced her calm nature. Damned womanhood! No one warned him of such a tortuous sight as soon as she came of age! Where did his composed, confident and charming sister disappear to? Jacek lamented inwardly.

"Yuki, I thought you came here because you had something to say? Or are you going to sit here dreaming all day?" Jacek spat in irritation.

"Aah!" Yuki exclaimed after the reminder. She assumed her composure, stood and bowed. "Thank you for your help yesterday. I am indebted to you," Yuki vocalized her sincerest thought. She did not know any more words that could fully expressed how grateful she felt in that moment.

Jacek's anger dissipated and was replace with an appreciative look. "I am also very much grateful to you for being by my sister's side in my stead, thank you." Jacek lowered his gaze to show his respect for Treyton for his help.

Treyton's expression converted from embarrassment to a stern one as he looked at the siblings. "It was my pleasure to have been able to help you both," said Treyton, his face collected and indefinite.

After the three spoke for a while, they decided to finally leave the hotel. Jacek held Yuki tightly and tagged her along where ever he went. He was not making any mistake of leaving his Yuki alone, even for a minute, with Treyton.

"No courting until you are twenty-two, Yuki!" Jacek declared audibly as they made their way towards the elevator that would bring them down from the third floor.

Yuki facepalmed after Treyton burst into laughter when Jacek made his statement.

"You should just marry me yourself at this point!" Yuki snapped while glaring at Jacek for embarrassing her.

"If I were interested in marriages, or flimsy theories like romance, I might have considered your proposal, that is, even though you are not really the type of woman that can stir my heart. It's a pity, truly!" Jacek retorted after much thought.

Yuki gaped at her brother, completely dumbfounded. She retracted her hand forcefully from his grasp and pouted. "You are so annoying!"

Treyton separated himself from the siblings after laughing for too long, not that it helped anyways. But he was able to spare himself the trouble of explaining that he was not laughing at either one of them.

While they were getting in the elevator, Jacek, as soon as Yuki and Treyton were getting too close together, forced himself between them. He received a menacing glare from Yuki for his behavior, not that it affected him in anyway. He was hell bent on keeping Yuki out of any relationship that could potentially shove him to the side.

"Tsk!" Yuki clicked her tongue and got into the elevator with Jacek clinging to her. Hearing Treyton laugh at Jacek's absurdity was more infuriating than anything else for Yuki.

When the three arrived on the first floor, Jacek had Yuki wait for him and Treyton while they went to check out of the hotel.

"Here, the key," Jacek offered the key to the receptionist.

A puzzled look crept onto the receptionist's beautiful face. "Room 106? I thought you were staying an extra night?" she expressed her confusion.

Jacek frowned, "what do you mean?"

"Did you not request for an extra night yesterday?" the receptionist questioned.

"I did no such thing. I booked for the Monday evening, the whole of yesterday and this morning," Jacek explained.

"But it is written here that you did, look…" the receptionist showed Jacek the evidence to her claim.

Jacek frowned, a look of frustration etched on his face, "I made no such request. You must be mistaken," he said sluggishly.

"Excuse me for a moment, sir, let me refer to my records."

Treyton, upon taking notice of Jacek's delay, approached him after checking out with his receptionist. "Is there a problem?" Treyton asked when he reached Jacek.

"I am not too sure; the receptionist believes I extended my stay till tomorrow." Jacek wore a tired and frustrated expression as he leaned on the receptionist's desk.

Treyton's expression subtly changed, his hand slowly fell to his side and pressed his pocket. On his usually collected face, was a subtle look of contempt and unhappiness. However, before Jacek or anyone else would take notice of the expression, Treyton's face reverted back to normal.

"Isn't it a mistake?" he eyed the receptionist who was flipping through the pages of a large book. Treyton then turned to look at Yuki who seemed reoccupied by her thoughts.

"I did not extend my stay, it may possibly be an err of a sort," Jacek told Treyton.

"Let's leave then. Yuki looks uncomfortable," Treyton drew Jacek's attention to his sister.

Jacek looked back at Yuki, whose eyes darted around the lounge restlessly. She truly looked uneasy. Jacek wondered what was wrong. He turned back to the receptionist, then said, "so, I am sure you are mistaken. I am in a hurry, excuse me." Without awaiting a response, Jacek turned and marched to Yuki.

"Is something the matter? You seem uneasy," Jacek pointed out his observation.

"Oh, it's nothing. Are you done?" Yuki eased up after Jacek returned to her side.

"Yes. Let's go, home," Jacek uttered with a slight smile, then he took Yuki's hand their bag and headed towards the entrance of the hotel along with Treyton.

As soon as the trio left the hotel, the receptionist who was attending to Jacek found what she was looking for. 'Call from room 106 at 11:20a.m.; a request to extend stay.' The receptionist read in confusion. "It's even been paid for. Did he make the request while he was drunk?" she asked herself and shut the book. "These rich people never cease to amaze me!"
