"Amelia! Quick come with me to the courtyard." Sunny yelled as she sped towards the courtyard. She didn't know what to expect but she knew whatever it was, it wasn't good.
As they arrived at the courtyard they picked up a foul scent of blood and rotting corpses. She hurriedly pushed the door open and was shocked.
It was a chimera. No, it was more than one. And she recognized all of them. Her mom and her dad infused, then her grandpa and younger sister infused, even the babies and children weren't spared. She knew she had to kill them and free their souls. But, she couldn't.
She just stared blankly. "Sunny! Sunny! What do we do, I smell a weird poison from all of them. If we get hit by it even I won't be able to cure it. Sunny! Wake up! We have to do something before they hurt others!" Amelia screamed.
Sunny, still in a dazed Hummed back. She knew she had to kill them, and she will, maybe. She just didn't know when.
"I'm sorry Sunny." Amelia screamed and rushed over to the chimeras and started drowning them in spells. Nothing was working. With each spell Amelia grew weaker and older. As if each spell was sucking away at her life force.
Amelia felt a sting and looked down. There was a hole in her chest. She was sure she she managed to avoid getting hit so how did they? Her vision started to go wonky and then she knew. They was an illusion spell. They were way out of her league. With that last thought she fell down to the floor.
The sound of Amelia falling down to the floor brought Sunny back to her senses. Despite her being in a daze for less than a mintue, those few seconds were enough for Amelia to die. Realizing this Sunny knew that Connor had gotten way more powerful than she had ever thought. First, she had to solve what was in front of her.
She knew she needed a spell that would kill all of them at once and quickly. With that in mind she started reciting a time spell. Althought that spell took away from her life force, she knew she had no other choice.
"Sunny, sweetheart, Daddy loves you. Why are you trying to kill us" The chimera said in her dads voice. "Theres another way to save us. Connor told us. We don't have long before our souls dissipate. Come closer so I can tell you."
As if being lured in by a siren Sunny went closer. And closer. And closer. Until they were only an inch away from each other.
"Dad! H-how, whats the method, please anything you remember just tell- ah!" Sunny screamed in pain and quickly backed away.
She looks down and saw scratch marks on her legs. The wounds were turning purple. She was poisoned. The chimeras nails had poison on them.
She quickly recited the time spell and reverted the chimeras back to when they never existed. The moment she finished the spell she looked as if she aged 50 years. She went from looking like she was in her mid 20s to an elderly women.
Once the spell was done she saw the dead bodies of everyone in her family. She knew he'd kill them first and them mutated them. Unfortunately she cannot bring the dead back to life. All she could do was mourn and honor them.
She turned to look at Amelias body. She blamed herself for her death. It's all her fault, if only she wasnt dumb enough to be in a daze just becausd they're her family members. Shes been through too many battles to let something like that affect her. That stupid mistake cost Amelia her life.
She spent hours burying their bodies one by one. Giving them her utmost respect. She knew what she had to do.
Sunny quickly went back inside to her office. She went through the secret door and headed towards the basement. Her last hope was in the basement, there was no room for mistakes.
