Chapter 17 - Chapter 17- infiltration #4

"Run with the package?"

From the sergeants, lieutenants, and the captain in the surveillance room, all the way to Ivan, Robert, and the cadets, everyone was confused by Alex's scream.

Alex then ran out to the gym while he secretly took the package from the confused cadet.

For a moment, everyone was confused, watching as Alex ran away towards the gym.

"Quickly after him!"

A shout echoed through the two sergeants' intercom, also alerting Ivan, Robert, and the cadets.

"Don't let them chase Alex!"

Ivan, who was the quickest to react, launched himself against the sergeants and managed to hold on to one of them. Robert and the others immediately went to help him.

"Sergeant Volkov, a cadet is heading over with the package… ugh!"

Before Petrov could continue, Robert, with the help of Ivan, threw himself on top of his stomach, making Petrov stop mid-sentence.

"Sergeant here, Ramírez. We've spotted the package; he is heading to his position!"

Volkov, who had just entered the gym, was surprised to hear the two sergeants talking to him. A small smile appeared under his tactical mask; these children gave him quite a few pleasant surprises.

"Wang, take care of the two cadets…"

Wang, who also heard the two sergeants, was surprised. He thought it would be a ride, but this was also fun in its own way.

"Roger, Sergeant."

"I'll take care of the little chick."

Volkov took off his night vision goggles and headed towards the main entrance where Alex would appear.

Well, kid, even if it's a nice surprise, you still have to know your place.

****

Huf, huf, shit, there are already two in the gym...

While Alex was panting, he could hear the conversation of the two infiltrators. They seemed to be the sergeants who were with Captain García. Obviously, he was not very surprised; he knew that in a 'defend' mission there would always have to be an attacker, and what better attacker than four sergeants of the confederate army?

Alex, who was spinning in his head like crazy, stopped short; there he could see a tall and imposing figure watching his arrival.

It was none other than Volkov, who had removed his night vision goggles and at some point the tactical mask as well.

"Shit, hold them!"

Ivan, who saw Alex walk away, was holding one of the sergeants next to Robert and preventing him from taking out the taser. The other three cadets were holding the other.

Ivan had a bad feeling when he heard the sergeants' conversation over the intercom; he knew that if they didn't help Alex, the mission would be ruined. But it was not a good time; they were facing two robust sergeants who had gone through military training. The sergeant they were holding was almost freeing himself, and the other three were also going the same way.

"Hey, you question idiot!"

When Ivan shouted, even the sergeants were frozen in confusion; they did not understand why this cadet was suddenly insulting his companions. But the most confusing thing came later when one of the three cadets who were holding the sergeant stood up and responded to Ivan.

"M-my name is Liam… sir!"

Ivan, who didn't notice the strange looks coming from the sergeants and Robert, frowned and sighed in exasperation.

This idiot, after everything he has done, wants me to remember his name.

Ivan was not really an irascible person; before training, he was a sociable and happy person. But after meeting these five idiots, he felt that they made him lose his patience easily. It was like when Alex got angry with Robert.

"Idiot, I'll remember your name when you stop being so stupid. Move to help Alex, now!"

Once again, everyone was surprised, except for the three cadets, which included Liam, who turned pale and ran off to help Alex.

"Lieutenants, give that kid extra points… also include the other one who ran away with the box."

Captain García had an amused smile. Those two children had been splendid in their own way. One showed quick thinking and coldness when carrying out his actions, and the other demonstrated leadership and command. They are two good seeds, she thought.

"Yes, captain."

With a fervent look, Abatino and Nicolau looked at each other. The more outstanding children, the more chances they had of filling a place at the lunar academy.
