Chapter 3 - - Legal Assassin |

"I heard you wanted this house?" asked a man clad in reflective gold-colored clothing.

"Correct," answered Lei quickly. His face was strict, but deep inside, he had noticed men garbed in fully black clothing, concealing their faces or any sign of skin.

The man turned for a second, and nodded, changing his previously bright smile into a cold scowl.

Lei had already realized what was happening.

These people were going to extort money.

Their leader isn't dumb, so I have to get in without him realizing, take out the guards, and flawlessly make a legal recording of their work.

Lei smiled gently, and said something, waving his hand for everyone's attention.

"I gotta go get something."

He turned to the car, rummaging through it. He skillfully made noise, then presented himself getting into the car out of their vision, so they wouldn't find him vanish.

He was relieved when the car began to make noise and he was able to sneak away undetected. He slithered away, feeling proud of his successful evasion.

Behind the house, he was met with seven men's backs turned. Suddenly, one of them began speaking, informing them he was going to do his 'business' in a bush. Then, he turned and walked 6 meters outside, not noticing Lei behind a pillar.

Lei grabbed the man's knife so quick it took time for the man to register, then cut his vocals before he could tell the others, and performed a reverse grip stab, shovelling deep into the man's brain and quickly incapacitating him and killing him, then slowly laying him down as to not catch attention.

But the excitement of fighting caught Lei, as he involuntarily threw the knife straight into the back of the head of one of the men, the cloth covering the man's head being pierced through.

"Crap."

As the man fell, the men turned to see Lei. Finally, Lei's father had taken notice of the men as they moved from their positions, but looked away, planning to reverse the extortion with his martial artist skills.

The men slowly moved towards Lei, but Lei's aggressive movement made it impossible to beat him.

He darted towards them, flawlessly swirling his body around, and enjoying their attempts.

Against him, they were like ants to a giant.

He ducked under as one of the men swung, and grabbed the man's hand, forcing him to gouge his own throat. Just to add on, he added a sucker punch, causing the man to fall on another man.

The man who he fell on grabbed his knife, and for seven seconds, he was a slight inconvenience.

A kick to the face, and the man was on the ground. Lei spit on the man's face, and continued his onslaught, finally grabbing a knife.

A man lunged at him with the knife, but Lei performed a pommel strike, incapacitating the man, then he administered an overhead strike, piercing the man's head, then kicked him aside.

Now there were two men, who both executed a lunge.

But before Lei, they were moving at a slow speed.

Lei raised his leg, and did an axe kick, giving one of the men a concussion.

"Admit on camera your crimes and live. When you are brought into court, admit it, deal?"

The man's tears stopped flowing, and he nodded unsure.

Lei hit the man with a powerful slap, incapacitating the man, then stabbed those who were lucky to survive besides the final man.

Lei walked out, and returned to his former location in the car, grabbing a random coin, and hinted a need for assistance to his father, who he had noticed was looking while he was fighting.

"Dad! I found your lucky coin!"

"Woah, it is my lucky coin. Thanks, son."

The mother, who was oblivious to the fighting or any men continued discussing, and gave twenty gold coins, and when they entered, the man yelled a command, presumably at the men, but no one replied.

"Beat that family!"

"Sir, did you just attempt to extort money out of us?" said Lei, as if he wasn't the exact one who had neutralized them.

The man shivered and ached, waiting for the men to come, but they never did. As for the bodies, they were hidden behind the tall grass, and Lei would have to take them out so his mom didn't see them.

The man, in a desperate search for release, soon hit the car, but it was too late.

He was surrounded by good samaritans, who refused to let him past. He screamed, as the police soon arrived, cuffing the man who'd gone insane by then.

His mother looked in honest confusion, and whilst she packed, Lei and his father shovelled the bodies with a small shovel that was stationed at the gate of the backyard.

They worked in silence, with the occasional grunt or sigh of effort. The bodies were heavy and the task was arduous, but they persisted. When they had finished, they stood back, exhausted and solemn.

His mother came over to see what they did, but was surprised to see nothing but dirt and a dirty shovel.

To distract her, his father began talking about their luck to have this home, and as for Lei, he walked to the nearest telephone store, built on efficient wireless connections with runic inscriptions.

He walked there, and was greeted by a receptionist, who sat behind the table. Her short hair was black, and she was decked out in overalls.

"How could I help you?" she asked simply, tipping her feet to see his face, surprising Lei.

Lei showed unease in her proximity, scanning around, but avoiding even glancing at her eyes.

Likewise her hair, she was short and petite. She wore loafers on her feet, and a small bracelet that was dyed blue.

Her eyes were emerald, innocent and pure to the world's intentions. Her smile was warm and inviting, and to describe her skin, you could say it was lacking in impurities, and very bright. In all seriousness, she had alabaster skin that only glowed in the light of the windows. She wasn't hot, but she sure was cute.

"Mm, may I have a look at the phones in stock?" He managed to stammer out.

She smiled and nodded. He stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He needed to make a decision soon, or he might miss out on the perfect girl.

While she showed him, he remained very vigilant, and then spoke up after she showed him the options, and he showed interest in one.

"Does this phone come with your number? If not, can I have it as an add-on?"

What a corny thing to say, but she thought not, her face reddening in embarrassment. She warily nodded.

"You don't have to pay..."

He seemed to remain very flustered, but internally, he was jumping up and down. Nothing like a man's seventh girlfriend... (he was a ladykiller in his past life.)

As she tapped in the number, he eagerly awaited, and she gave it to him, cautious of her movements.

{ 911 }

She made a cheeky smile, then answered his disappointed look.

"I'm your personal support member. It comes with the phone, silly!" she chuckled.

Quietly, he breathed a sigh of relief, then smiled.

"Alright." He grabbed the phone, put ALOT extra than what it cost, and sneaked a mischievous smirk.

She stared at the two gold coins in shock.

It was only 70 silver, and he'd given her a tip of 130 silver coins, or a gold coin and 30 silver.

She smiled, expressing thanks to him.

He'd find some app for finding and reporting the horrid creatures, sign in as himself, and find missions, and also prepare his week once he got home.

Wait, what was that girl's name again?
