Writer's POV:
"How did I end up a sacrifice? How did I end up in a carriage on my way to my groom's home?. I fought relentlessly to set myself free from the shackles in the Witches Cavern but here I am on my way to another cage, an even deeper cage." Herdis thought to herself.

"What is this I hear Father?" Herdis said, barging into her father's throne room. Ignoring the glares of everyone present.
King Negah raised his hands signifying for everyone to give him privacy. "And what did you hear?" King Negah asked, as everyone present, excluding Herdis, made their way out of the throne room with their heads bowed low.
"That I have been selected as the wife of that spineless bastard, Razar." Herdis replied.
"And that is a problem, how?" King Negah asked.
Herdis lets out a deep breath. "You are selling your daughter off, no you are selling me off because I am worthless. You can't possibly let any of your precious daughters marry such an abomination, am I right?"
"Watch your mouth when you speak to your Father or I will tame them." King Negah warned.
"This is unfair Father, you can't sell me off. Please Father."
"You should be happy, Herdis, this is a blessing in disguise. You are about to be given the title of the Crown Princess of the Werewolf Clan, wife of the great and noble leader of the silver pack. That pack gave werewolves the mantle of power in Europe, you should take this as your redemption."
"This is not the kind of redemption I hoped and craved for Father, this is me getting stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. I am not worthy of such a position, Father. You said it yourself, that I wasn't worthy of leadership."
"If the crown befits you, wear it. There's more to this than what meets the eyes, Herdisan." King Negah said, dismissing her. He did not want to discuss any further.

"We are here."
The voice of the Coachman reverberates through the carriage.
'You can do this Herdis, you survived the Witches Cavern, you can totally survive this.' Herdis reassured herself.
"Aren't you getting off, or would you rather I pick you up." Razar said coldly.
'Why the gross attitude, the least he can do is to acknowledge my status as his wife and accord me my rightful respect.' I thought to myself.
"Get off the carriage, Herdis." He ordered.
"Oh, forgive me, I was driven by my thoughts." Herdis says as she adjusts her dress to get off the carriage. And he just stood there like a wood log, whilst his coachman reached out to assist her as she made her way out of the carriage. 'How ungentlemanly.' Herdis commented inwardly.
And just like that, Herdis stands yet again before another cage. A large and beautiful cage on a mountain.
Breathing in. "Ahh.., smells like misery." Herdis commented loudly.
Her eyes flew open in shock. 'Did I just say that out loud?' She asked herself.
"I apologize, I didn't mean it that way." She turned to face Razar.
"What way, then?" He asked coldly.
"Excuse me." Herdis said not understanding his question.
"Nicholas, Nicholas." Razar ignored her and called out for someone.
And in a few minutes a man in his late forties appeared. "You called for me, Sire?"
"You know what to do, Nicholas." He says, making an indirect reference to Herdis.
"Of course Sire." Nicholas replied.
"And don't forget, to enlighten her on the rules of this household." Razar added.
"Okay Sire, are you on your way out?" Nicholas asked.
"Umm, I may not be back tonight so inform Father about it. He knows what to do." Razar replied.
"Of course Sire." Nicholas said, bowing his head.
'At least I will survive tonight.' Herdis thought inwardly.

Herdis felt the bed deepen on her side. 'There is someone in my room.' She thought to herself.
She thought she was dreaming until she felt the warm breath on her neck, and her eyes flew open in shock.
'Could it be Ceres, it's probably him he had said earlier that he would come to get me.' She thought.
She thought foolishly with a heavy smile settling on her face.
She turned to confirm her pricking thoughts but she was left speechless when she saw the man beside her.
"It's you, I..I." She stuttered.
"It's me of course, or were you expecting someone else?" Razar said.
"I… Not at all, I just thought you had something to handle, and you wouldn't make it tonight, I was just a bit overwhelmed by the sudden presence." She denied.
"Of course, I would find it hysterical that my bride awaits someone else on our Wedding Night." Razar commented.
"Excuse me?" She asked, not understanding what he said.
"I like to believe that you have working ears." He said rudely.
"Are you being comedic right now, I like to believe that you are currently playing the role of a clown, in order to please your bride." Herdis said.
"I don't joke, Herdis, but if you want pleasure I am more than able." He teased her.
He pinned her on the bed with her hands above her head, stared into her and slowly bent till his nose rested on her neck, with a mischievous smirk laced on his face, he whispered.
"You are going to love every second."
'I felt something strange, similar to raccoon's raging in my abdomen, my heart raced back and forth, this can't be a good feeling, I shouldn't be liking this.' Herdis thought.
Using one hand to pin her down he used the other to massage her waist while he placed unending kisses all over her neck, she let out a heavy cry when places a love mark on her neck.
"Umm… Please stop, please."
On hearing her voice he lifts up his head slowly and stares at her. At that moment Herdis saw something strange, his eyes were conflicting from Blue to Gold.
Herdis fought her way out but her strength couldn't match up to his muscles, so she screamed in shock.
"Let go of me, leave me, you need to stop this." When she finally crawls out of his arms he goes after her and pins her down again this time with his hands over her neck strangling her.
"Let me go, have you lost your mind?,"
'Let me go, Regald have you lost your mind.' He could hear strange voices in his head and saw silhouettes of people but couldn't identify the faces.
Razar shaked his head simultaneously, to stop the flashback but it only became worse, he couldn't stand the pain anymore so he crawled out of the bed and went to a corner, he wrung his hands over his head and screamed in pain.
'Let me go, Regald, have you lost your mind?'
'This has to end, Cassandra, you can't keep avoiding me.'
'I am a slave, and courtesy demands that I know my place.'
'Don't go please,... Don't go.'
"Ahh." Razar screamed in pain.
Herdis stayed at a corner in the bed staring at him in a dilemma, until he fell asleep. She covered him up with a blanket and went up to the balcony to stare at the stars.
'What did I get myself into.' She grieved.
