Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Cool wind passes through all the tall and dark trees. Calm... Damp... and serenity surrounds the atmosphere, greenery all-around.

Laying in the grass is a person with a blocky body, still and unmoving.

Opening his eyes, he looks around. Seeing all this, he lays still. His mood was nostalgic, as if he was possessed.

He breathes the refreshing air, he listens to the small rustle of the leaves, he feels the slight coolness that permeates around him, and he lays there seemingly enjoying the moment.

"I have arrived huh? This... is, Not so bad" He muttered, feeling the cool and freshness of the wind, for the first time he felt... at peace.

30 minutes passes, and he opens his eyes once again...

"Now that I'm calm and relaxed, let's survive!" Standing up, he gathers himself and heads straight to punch trees.

'Here goes nothing' Pumped up, he punches the wood. While punching it, he noticed his square hands that enabled him to punch the tree with his full force.

Cracks covered the wood, until it broke.

Nathan steps back, looking at the tree and seeing if it falls.

"Huh, neat" The tree looked odd floating, missing one part of it's body.

Looking at the drop of wood on the ground, he grabs it and analyzes.

'So I have an inventory, let's see how to open it. Inventory! No, that does not work, maybe imagining it open woul– Oh! there it is' A gray grid appeared right in his sight, it looks to be showing on his retina than physically in front of him, or maybe that's just him.

'I'll gather more of this wood before I experiment with it, I'm taking my time because I would argue that time doesn't pass that quickly in this world' Nathan thought, and grabs the rest of the wood.

'Now the crafting part' He imagined the inventory showing up and then crafted planks, he was amazed by the speed of the interface, he doesn't have to drag and place, he just wills it and the wooden planks appear.

He then made the crafting table and the wooden tools, Sword, Pickaxe, and an Axe.

'Step 1 is done, now to stone tools. Hopefully the same thing will happen while mining where there is no gravity. Don't want to get buried alive' Back to where he arrived or spawned, he remembered it being a small hill.

Punching the grass and dirt he finally saw a stone wall. Mining it, he got enough for stone tools, however he decided to experiment.

'If this world is really different from the game then, this should work' Nathan crafted two stone pickaxes and then held two of them.

Facing the stone wall, he mined the stone and alternating between the stone pickaxes.

'It worked! That's much faster than before, this means I'll be able to use two swords, axes, and many things! If I paired this with beacons, then It'll be so Op!' Nathan continued mining.

He remembered to mine in a stair-like pattern; it doesn't hurt to be cautious at this situation, being the one to defend the Overworld after all.

While getting to the rhythm of mining, he slowly mines slower, as if he forgot something...

'What do I do after that? After this fiasco what happens next? What's in it for me?...' Because of him having a certain personality, he struggles to find answers to his questions, but looking at his blocky hands (If you could call it a hand) deep inside his being, there is longing for discovery, seeking for something he didn't have before... A purpose.

Remembering the emptiness he felt in his past life, he regained a new vigor. A motivation to move for this purpose.

"Enough of that, I have a ton of things to do" Leaving his existential crisis aside, he continued mining until he got enough cobblestones for the furnace, learning that the lighting on this world is pretty much the same from the game.

'Guess should have made a room to place the furnace first before I mined' This time he mined a small room with 2 blocks high and 6 blocks long. Then placed the crafting table he made in the corner and the two furnaces he just made.

Splitting the wood he placed the other half on the top and the other half to the bottom.

'Now, while that is cooking I'll get some more wood and hopefully find some livestock running around, I don't really know if they just spawn naturally or they hatch from a spawn egg or something else entirely' Coming back up to the surface he see's oak tree saplings scattered around, and some red apples.

'Well that solves my food problem for the moment' Picking up the apples and saplings, he placed the saplings strategically aligned so that he can harvest them easily.

After placing the saplings, he brandishes his two stone axes he just made and starts chopping a lot of trees and ignores chopping the birch trees. He still doesn't know why he hates this type of tree, but it just irked him.

Chopping the tree's was fast especially with two axes, now he got three stacks and 23 wood in his inventory, which caused the land to be bare.

Did you wonder how he chopped the last bit of tree's at the top without the tree's natural gravity? Easy, he just climbed it, cool right? Well that experiment actually earned him a fall damage which is not much damage, just hurted his feet just a bit from the fall.

This small experimentation made him excited, as it changes everything.

Done with a ton of chopping, he placed more saplings until he ran out and got back to his base/cave.

With the charcoal being done he spent his one stack of wood to split into his two furnaces and used the other stack to burn the wood, which has little bit leftovers from the last one.

Making torches, he decided that he'll do the mining later on when the night comes and decided to head outside after crafting an oak door, and a campfire.

Placing it at the entrance, he places the campfire at the front of his small hill, and then watches the smoke reach a reasonable height before brandishing his two stone sword.

Yes, it would be better to make an iron sword and gears first before heading out, but he will just run some small experiments with this body and doing it without gear would be great.

First he jogs and faces straight ahead from his campfire and runs full sprinting to the saplings and into the fields. Good thing he is in a plains biome, he wouldn't even last long in a snow one, he would just drown in powder snow.

Forward to the fields, he felt nothing at first, but after 3 minutes of sprinting he felt hungry all of a sudden.

'That checks out' He then takes out the apple and takes a big bite, tasting the sweet and juicy fruit.

'Check again' Now here comes another test. Seeing the bite, he holds it up his face and takes a deep breath.

'Check once again' Seems like his senses are still there despite not being able to see his nose, does he even have one?

Then from his position he gazes around him trying to find a river or water of some kind.

'Nope, guess I'll have to venture further. Let's see where the sun is first… Wow, I didn't even notice THE SUN IS HUGE! From what I could see it, as the sun is burning my retina?, but it seems closer to setting. I've been doing a lot, I'd bet that the sun is setting more than rising' He turns around and There. It. Was…

"A COWWW!!!"....

END OF CHAPPY!!!!
