Chapter 3 - The First Hurdle

One week into our training, we hit our first roadblock. Lin, the quiet one, was struggling to grasp the concept of inner energy manipulation. No matter how hard I tried, she just couldn't seem to get it right. Frustration began to build, and I could sense her disappointment in herself."Lin, let's try something different," I said, attempting to hide my own frustration. "Instead of focusing on the technique, let's focus on your breath. Feel the energy within you, and let it guide your movements." She nodded, and we began again. This time, something clicked, and her movements became more fluid, more natural. The others watched in awe, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Maybe, just maybe, I was cut out for this master thing after all.
