Korin summoned a shield of cyan energy, the spears striking it with deafening force. He gritted his teeth as cracks began to spread across the shield's surface. With a shout, he released a counterspell, a wave of energy that shattered the remaining spears and forced Alec to step back.
The two fighters paused, their breaths heavy and their eyes locked. Both their auras flickered with exhaustion but still burned brightly.
"Not bad," Alec said, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow. "But I'm not done yet."
Korin smirked. "Neither am I."
He slammed his hands into the ground, causing glyphs to spread outward in all directions. The glyphs pulsed with cyan light, and from them, towering constructs of energy began to rise. They took the form of knights, each armed with massive glowing limbs.
Alec chuckled, his violet eyes narrowing. "Now that's more like it."
