"Ah?"
Hearing Heizen's voice, everyone including Melaphine was shocked. This guy was getting more and more outrageous.
Sarah and Sophie looked at Heizen as if they had seen him for the first time. They didn't know he had such habits.
"Impudent," suddenly a hoarse voice echoed in the chamber. The dark-robed figures around the Altar picked up their weapons to hack this abominable existence to death. How dare he blaspheme their Goddess?
"Halt," Melaphine stopped their actions, looked in his direction, and asked amusedly.
"Why do you want to hug me? Do you know you will die if you even touch me with your mortal body?" Melaphine laughed.
Her charming laughter filled the entire room. Her slim, gorgeous figure danced with the shadow, showing a unique charm that could captivate anyone. Though her face was concealed in the darkness, he was sure it must be a flawless creation.
Heizen was mesmerized. Previously, he had ignored her due to the chaotic situation. Now, he was directly hit by her charm. Fortunately, the passive "Serene Touch" woke him up in time.
Looking at the embarrassed face of the mortal, Melaphine also breathed a sigh of relief. After all, when she was ignored the first time, she doubted whether she had become old and lost her charm.
She smiled and said,
"Hehe, so do you still want to hug me?" The teasing voice of the Mistress of Shadows scratched his ear while the moving silhouette with alluring grace began to tempt him again.
Heizen quickly composed his mind but still showed the enamored expression on his face.
"How could I die before serving you, my lord? However, if I can die hugging you, I don't think I will mind." Heizen said and began to walk near the Altar.
He was going to follow this act to the end. The situation was already dire and he must grab this only chance while she wasn't paying attention.
Looking at Heizen who was behaving erratically as he walked towards the Altar, Bernard and others were in complex emotion.
How could they not know he was acting? In fact, any three-year-old child would figure it out. However, precisely because of this, they were uncertain.
Though they didn't understand most of the conversation, they still couldn't allow Heizen to approach the Altar.
So, Bernard quickly came up behind, grabbed Heizen's shoulder, and said quietly.
"Heizen, don't go near. You are no match for her." He thought Heizen was trying to get closer to kill her in one blow.
He had seen his speed and skill previously. However, this time they were facing Lord level existence. Nobody here was a match for her even if it was a projection.
However, what Bernard never expected was that Heizen grabbed the arm on his shoulder, flipped Bernard, and slammed him to the ground.
"Boom," a deep sound silenced everything around the chamber.
Bernard was so shocked, that he even forgot the pain in his back.
Sarah, Sophie, and Bowen looked at them in bewilderment. They were now really confused by Heizen's behavior.
Heizen playfully looked at Bernard, crouched down, and gently patted his face twice.
"Tch, tch. Why are you getting anxious? Just wait quietly to become my slave and don't put your nose everywhere." His voice was still filled with crazed and he didn't seem to be joking anymore. His face and eyes told Bernard that he was serious.
Well, Heizen finally picked up the rhythm.
Bernard was just getting confused when he heard a soft call, "Run outside when you see a chance."
Heizen quickly stood up and kicked his body toward Bowen who was walking in their direction.
"Trash."
"Ugh," before he had time to process anything he was kicked in the abdomen again.
"Are you alright?" Bowen quickly helped him stand up and asked in concern.
Bernard waved his hand and replied in a hoarse voice, "I am fine." However, his body was in pain all over. Heizen didn't show any mercy at all.
Bernard looked at the figure who was walking in a carefree manner in the direction of the Altar. However, the previous warning made him understand that Heizen was planning something.
Although he didn't know what he was going to do, he wouldn't waste his sacrifice in vain. So, without saying anything, he gathered with his teammates.
"Are you alright?" Sarah asked in trepidation. She never thought Heizen could be so cruel to his teammates. He really went crazy.
Bernard waved his hand dismissively while whispering, "Be ready to run."
His expression didn't change nor did he explain anything. However, everyone understood his meaning completely. For a moment, they were in a dilemma.
Heizen didn't pay attention to his back and walked towards the Altar with a fanatical expression. Even the dark-robed figures around the Altar were wary of this crazy person.
Melaphine looked at him interestingly. For her, whether this person was acting, or was really crazy didn't matter. She just wanted this Deathwalker as a subordinate.
A person who could trick death was very important to her domain and her plan. So, it didn't matter if you indulged them a bit.
Heizen was walking towards the Altar with a fanatical expression on his face. However, his heart couldn't remain calm inside because of the new notification.
[Ding!]
[The concentration of Authority is high.]
[This Authority conflicts with the Insignia of Goddess of Life.]
The pattern in his arm was reacting violently as if it was disgusted. Heizen could clearly feel that the winding leaf was getting fainter.
[Ding! You don't have the Authority over the Insignia. You have been warned.]
The insignia flashed with a green light as if in protest. He never thought this tattoo could be alive. However, he couldn't back off now.
[The Insignia is dissatisfied with your decision. You are losing the rights.]
Suddenly Heizen saw the pattern in his arm rapidly fading. It was as if someone stripped of the color from his hand piece by piece.
Heizen panicked. He quickly opened the information status and looked at the resurrection chance.
