Joy bubbling through his mind, Jake wanted to immediately start working the art, but soon realised that he didn't know how to start the art: should he bury himself halfway into the ground, slightly below, or completely covered in dirt. He did not want to die in such a miserable manner.
Just asbhe was about to try all of them, a silent lien slowly came after every sentence had disappeared:
P.s. You have to be buried halfway for the first time, to immerse and familiarise yourself with the absorption of the earth elements. After which the step can be replaced with having direct contact with earth by feet. This will reduce the speed of practice, so do it wisely.
After reading this line, his ears grew red with shame, realising that he was about to do something really stupid, thankful that no one was nearby. Pumping up, he went home, got his shovel, and dug a small hole Joel invthe ground, enough to cover himself halfway with dirt. He got in, and got one of the robots to bury him in the dirt, upto his waist. Then, he started the mantra.
As he read the mantra, an immediate rush of elements was experienced by Jake. Not understanding what to do, the elements rushed in his body at high velocity, causing him to swell up. Just as he was about to explode, the book glowed in a bright light, causing his panic stricken mind to calm down, making him regain his focus. With the renewed focus, he started the incantation again, this time doing it much more slowly, so that he can get accustomed to the process.
After 25 minutes, he had to stop, despite not being able to complete a cycle inside his body. He knew that anymore would be detrimental to him, causing him to turn into stone as the book had explained before.
Also, tomorrow was the day he would get his guild membership activated, so he knew had to get enough rest. As he tucked himself in, he thought wistfully wish mom and dad was here. With that, he slept, peacefully and quietly.
The next day, after school, he got ready for getting his card from the Federation. Although the school day was normal us usually, Jake could not feel that today, for some reason, Mr. Lauderin was missing today. He seemingly taken today off for 'feeling ill'. He jad also seen that today, Emily, a Catniss, was walking very awkwardly today, walking with a weird gait, hobbling on her right foot, yet still having that dreamy look on her face.
Shaking his head, Jake let go of this thought, anticipation returning back. He hopped onto the taxi, and asked it to go to the Federation Hall.
The journey there today, luckily for him, had no issues (as the robot driver was someone different today). Thanking it after the reaching the Federation, he gave it a tip of 8 UD, for which he seemed to have seen it smile, though he did not know if he was hallucinating or not.
Today, when he entered the atrium, he immediately zoomed to the reception, as there was no crowd today. Instead of seeing Miss Helena today, as he expected, he still saw Strados. "Looking for Helena? She came back, but very tired. Was waliig with a weird gait. Bloody woman, I was worried for nothing: she was too busy getting laid." Shaking his head in visible anger, Jake could still sense a sense of relief, almost as if Strados had some feelings for Helena.
Finding Jake looking at him weirdly, Strados just coughed awkwardly, before handing him a small crystalline card. "Made of Tristaline, one of the most durable crystals in the galaxy. Also, looks very pretty." Looking smug, Strados folds his arms before being called out at the back, leaving Jake to inspect the card on his own.
Touching the smooth card, he spun it around, looking at its exterior with wonder and amazement. He marvelled at the ever changing rainbow hue whenever light shield from different angles, marvelled at the weight of the card, light as a feather it is.
But what he marvelled the most at were the glyphs flying across the front, speeding across at different velocities. Although he did not know what they meant, he instinctively realised they contained every information the Federation knew at the moment, of what he had told them about him. Curious, he thought to himself what the fard would mention to others when asked about himself, only to watch in amazement as letters seemed to rearrange themselves in Earthon, revealing the following information:
