Cervini no longer insisted; she had heard that when Jasper was in trouble back then, it was Daniel who helped him. Their bond must be deep.
Looking at the person lying in bed, Cervini's heart was filled with bitterness. The sourness she had just swallowed surged back when she saw Daniel.
"Cervini? Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?" Patrick changed the subject, gently closing the door to prevent Cervini from seeing Daniel again. The doctor had said that pregnant women shouldn't be too sad; no matter what happened to Daniel, he wouldn't want to see Cervini upset.
"I'm not hungry. I want to stay with Daniel…" Not being able to see him made her feel anxious, as if he could disappear at any moment. Only by tightly holding his hand did she feel a strange sense of security.
Patrick watched Cervini hurriedly walk into the hospital room and sighed silently. He was worried that Cervini was too emotionally invested.
