Daniel replied lightly, then turned to look at the silent Tsarvini, who was leaning against the chair. Her lack of words made him a bit worried.
"The doctor said you can be discharged… Mom has already taken care of the discharge procedures for us…" Daniel said softly to Tsarvini, unsure of how to ask her to move in with him.
For the first time, he felt at a loss for words, not knowing how to express his intentions.
"Uh… the doctor said you need to take good care of yourself, and my mom will look after you… so, for now… could you stay at my place?" he said hesitantly, afraid of being rejected.
However, Tsarvini did not respond; she neither nodded nor refused.
The car stopped outside Daniel's apartment building. He helped her out of the car, and she followed him into the elevator and then into his home without hesitation.
Patrick arrived home behind them, carrying a large bag filled with groceries.
