Chereads / The Billionaire’s Enchanting Wife / Chapter 18 - Chapter 20

Chapter 18 - Chapter 20

Since that night, Daniel hadn't come to see her, nor had he called. Had he really forgotten about her? While Zirvini felt relieved, there was a vague sense of loss in her heart.

Henry had asked a few times as well, asking why Daniel hadn't come to see her. She snorted at her father, "Who do you think he is? How could he remember your daughter?" As soon as she said it, she felt a strange taste in her mouth and quickly shut up.

Henry looked at her and sighed softly, "When are you coming to the company?"

"Dad... actually... I didn't major in Business Administration..." She lowered her head. She knew her father hoped she would come back and take over the company, but she didn't like it. So, without her father's consent, she secretly changed her major.

"I... I majored in Tourism and Arts..."

Her wish was to travel under the clear skies of Madrid with the person she loved, to stroll through the bustling streets of Hong Kong, and to experience the romance of Provence...

She still remembered saying this while lying on Vincent's lap, gazing at the clear sky of New York with a look of longing. Vincent looked at her, his eyes filled with affection...

Henry stared at her for a long time, a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes. He sighed and nodded, "Do as you wish..."

The shop assistant saw her standing outside in a daze and smiled kindly at her, "Miss, if you like it, you can try it on..."

Zirvini smiled awkwardly but had no intention of going in.

"We have different styles of autumn clothes here that would suit your temperament. Come in and have a look..." The sales assistant's excessive enthusiasm made Zirvini feel embarrassed to refuse. She checked the time and saw that there was still some time before her appointment with Jaffe Felicity, so she decided to go in.

Inside the store, she circled the elegant high-end clothes, but her steps stopped in front of the fitting room.

If she could, Zirvini would rather not have entered the store. Why did she come in on a whim? She wasn't buying clothes, so why did she come in?

She quickly turned around, hoping that person wouldn't see her. So many days had passed without seeing him, no calls, no messages. She had almost forgotten the agreement between them. So, let him forget too.

But clearly, her hope was not realized. Before she could step out, his voice reached her.

"Zirvini?" It carried a hint of coldness and seemed a bit angry.

Zirvini frowned and stopped. Angry? Who was he angry with? What did she do to make him angry? She had always adhered to her duties, worked diligently, and never violated their agreement in the slightest... So what was he angry about now?

Thinking this, Zirvini stood still but didn't turn around. She could still feel him approaching, his scent slowly invading her senses.

He had seen her when she was standing outside the window, smiling foolishly at the clothes.

A nameless excitement surged in his heart, but he just quietly watched her, watched her enter the store, watched her reaction when she saw him. Maybe she would be a little excited. But her reaction was... to run away?

He was her husband, yet she treated him like a stranger and turned to leave?

"Mr. Daniel? You're here too... hahaha... what a coincidence... what a coincidence..." Zirvini heard his soft words and quickly looked at the sales assistant standing in the store. She was trying to figure out how to greet him in a way that would make them seem like casual acquaintances. She laughed awkwardly, her smile a bit stiff.

Daniel frowned and stared at her intently.

"Hey, does this look good?" Oliver walked out of the fitting room in new clothes but paused when she saw the confrontation between the two.

Zirvini turned her head at the sound and her eyes widened when she saw Oliver. God, what a beautiful woman. Even she was drooling, let alone men... men... Damn it, this scumbag hadn't shown up for a week, and it turned out he was with another woman. Then why did he greet her? He should have pretended not to know her.

Zirvini turned and glared at Daniel. This scumbag, this pervert, just a two-timing reptile... She cursed Daniel in her heart. If she could, she would have castrated him.

She then looked at Oliver with sympathy. Oh my, such a heavenly beauty, tainted by this despicable, filthy man...

Zirvini rolled her eyes. This scumbag had just called her his wife, and now he was being so blatant in front of her... She... she... she was his wife!!!

Zirvini was furious, her eyes wide open, ready to face death. She wanted to loudly tell this woman that she was the rightful wife of the scumbag next to her, that she was the one who had the right to act coquettishly around him. She... she... she... She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. No! Zirvini, don't be impulsive. Impulsiveness is the devil. This was just a transaction between them. Don't let this scumbag ruin your life... uh, your reputation...

"Ahahaha... yes, it's really nice. Mr. Daniel, I won't disturb you. You two continue... you two continue..." She forced a stiff smile and slowly moved towards the door...

Oliver gaped at the smiling girl. This girl, this girl just left like that? She turned to the man beside her, whose face was already dark with anger.

"Zirvini, come back here..." Daniel watched the petite figure dart out of the store. He let go of Oliver and chased after her.

Oliver was stunned for two seconds and then quickly ran out after them. "Daniel, come back here..." She hadn't forgotten her mother's instructions. She still wanted to live a few more years...

"Ah, miss, miss, our clothes..." Behind them, the shop assistant looked flustered.

Zirvini couldn't shake off Daniel. At the elevator corner, he grabbed her sleeve.
