"Daniel?" she called softly, turning to look at her husband beside her.
"Daniel?" Jasper also looked at him with concern.
"Can you call her?" Daniel suddenly said.
The doctor paused for a moment, then took the phone from Daniel's hand and went inside.
"Cervini? Hang in there… don't give up… you can do it…" Daniel whispered into the phone, and on the other end, Cervini's damp face broke into a faint smile.
"Baby, hang in there… I will always be by your side…"
"Daniel…" Her voice came weakly from the other end, and Daniel felt as if his heart had been hit hard by a hammer.
"Baby, I'm waiting for you, I'm waiting for our little baby to come out… hang in there…"
His voice kept gently accompanying her, and suddenly she felt a surge of energy, using all her strength to endure the contractions again…
Time passed second by second, and the long wait finally ended with the sound of a baby crying coming from the delivery room.
