Jackia's point of view
I am feeling much better right now, but I do not know what else to think of all that happened.
Like, how on earth would I be thinking of the alpha like that? The shopping was quite short as we all made our way back to the palace.
But half way back, I met Layla. "Can I speak with you for a moment?" At that point, I was a bit taken aback by her speaking in the first place; everyone knows that we were never acquaintances.
To start with, "Are you referring to me?". I had to ask her.
"Jackia, can we talk for a minute, please?" I looked at the other maidens who kept on talking among themselves, but I was not bothered by them.
Not to even think of that: "Okay, what is it that you want to speak about with me, and why me?" She smiled and walked towards me slowly.
"I have come to you not for fights or for accusations or anything, but to help you.".
