Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 Memories

When Romnick spotted Jefferson outside, he hurriedly made his way to the room where Jessa was and that is room IV-A. His spectral form easily passed through walls, allowing him to reach her quickly.

However, when he searched for Jefferson, he couldn't find him. Unbeknownst to Romnick, Jefferson was observing him from the rooftop, hidden in the shadows. Romnick lay there, face down, on the rooftop, his ghostly presence barely visible.

This room, 4-A, held countless memories for both Romnick and Jessa. It was where their love story had unfolded—the place of their first kiss, witnessed only by them. But Jessa's acceptance of Romnick's feelings had been a lie, a painful deception.

Romnick recalled the white rose he had given Jessa earlier. He hadn't anticipated Rowena's extreme reaction. But then he made a sinister smile.

"Never expected that kind of reaction from her" he told himself.

Meanwhile, Jefferson watched from above, contemplating how to carry out his plan to kill Jessa. Romnick's constant vigilance made it difficult for him to proceed. He desired Jessa's death, longing to be reunited with her in the afterlife. But defeating a rival ghost like Romnick posed a challenge. Jefferson pondered how to defeat the already deceased or at least neutralize Romnick's influence.

"If only I can be stronger than Romnick" he thought to himself.

"What if I convince him to kill Jessa? I don't think it will work out either, this guy is still crazy in love with this girl who hurt his feelings and causes him to commit suicide and I don't understand it. I hate him. I hate both of them and I hate myself for being weak."

Then after a moment Jefferson sigh. He was still looking down from the top of the building looking at Jessa as she was teaching.

Meanwhile as Jessa was teaching when a student who was not from her class approach her.

"Excuse me ma'am, someone wants to give you flower" he told Jessa who was writing at the blackboard that time.

Jessa look at the student who was holding a white rose.

"Just when I thought he gives up already but I'm wrong" She murmured.

"Who's the sender? She asked the student.

"I don't know, he was still young and was also a student but I never seen him before maybe a 12 grader." The student explained.

Jessa felt strange and almost laugh. She couldn't believe even students are giving her flowers now. She look at the white rose and a glimpse of past memories came to his mind.

She remembered It was Romnick who was the first man who gives her white roses. She remembers those guilt again. Those mistakes upon mistakes she made in the past that she still don't know how they'll be attoned. What sacrifice could she make so that she could fell less guilty. It's actually the guilt that haunting her until today so she don't want to see that white rose again.

"Throw it away!" She commanded.

Then the student left and put the white rose in the garbage just beside the door of the room.

Jefferson was happy seeing this situation. "Romnick, how foolish you are"

Meanwhile seeing Jessa reacted this way was sad. He could not believe it was almost the same situation when Jessa decided to break up with him. He was also giving her that rose.

"You can break up with me but just accept this flower please?" Romnick begged Jessa.

"You will understand I'm being sincere if you accept this flower and put it in your room even if you don't take care of it. This flower won't die. This is not an ordinary white rose. This flower will symbolize everlasting love for you Jessa. Accept it please. Even if you are breaking up with me, accept it as my last gift." Romnick was saying this with tears in his eyes.

"I don't believe you, just leave me now. It's over. Do you not understand? I don't love you." Jessa answered breaking Romnick's heart.

"But why?" Romnick still hanging looking for some answers.

"It's just I don't love you anymore and that's it. What do you not understand?" Jessa answered.

"But just please accept this flower, you'll understand my sincerity if you accept my last gift." Romnick still begging Jessa.

"Please let me go. I don't need any gifts from you, I never ask any of those things." Jessa also begged him.

Jessa lost her focus in her lessons already so she can't teach her students anymore. She was just sitted on her chair thinking about the white rose. She remembered Romnick telling her that it was not an ordinary flower and it do not wither or decay.

Then, Jessa stand up and went outside. She is staring at the covered garbage can just beside the door of their room. Slowly she opened the cover to see if the white rose that was thrown away by the student earlier was still there.

"Ahhhh!" Jessa shouted in shock because she did not see any white rose inside the garbage. What was there were creepy black worms crawling inside the garbage can and even the cover has black worms too so Jessa throw it away. The students were alarmed including some teachers so they went outside to see what happened.

They fell awful when they look at the garbage can but when they look at it again they see nothing in it. They did not see the black worms again like it was gone completely. The teachers who did not see those worms think that Jessa was going crazy.

"What are you looking at the trash?" Mrs. Paz asked Jessa.

"I was just looking for something?"

"What something? Can you illaborate or make it specific?" Mrs. Sunshine demanded.

"I'm looking for a white flower, a student just throw it." Jessa answered.

Mrs. Paz tried to look at the trashcan but she did not see any hint of a flower inside it.

"But there is no white flower inside the trash can. I think you are day dreaming again Jessa." Mrs. Paz repremanded her.

"Ma'am, we saw something creepy inside it a while ago" hinted one of the student.

"There is bkackworms inside it ma'am" another student told them.

"What?" Mrs. Ferer was shocked by the students statement. She try to look what's really inside the garbage can, but she saw only papers and plastics.

"Are you all daydreamers here?" Mrs. Ferer stated.

Soon they stop talking an ambulance halted inside there campus.

"What happened? Why is there an ambulance around?" Mrs Paz asks the students.

"A grade 8 student fainted in class ma'am" the students answered. Just then, people carrying the student get in to the ambulance. He was the student who give Jessa the white rose but Jessa rejected it and told him to throw it away. This made Romnick furious who was just watching Jessa but he do nothing this time.

He also thinks it was just a coincidence or it was done by Jefferson because he didn't see him around bothering Jessa again. And why would Jefferson do that? Romnick can't understand. It must not be Jefferson, he change his mind.

Jessa saw the face of the student who they brought inside the ambulance. He know him, his the one that gives him the white flower but he did not mention it and keep it to herself since no one will believe her and the while flower was gone already.
