The Old Zhou family couldn't find peace for an entire night, and similarly, Wufu's small household was also in turmoil throughout the night. The cause was nothing other than Madam Zhou coming down with a fever in the middle of the night. Wufu personally took care of her, tossing and turning all night until dawn when she finally fell asleep.
When Madam Zhou woke up, she saw her daughter asleep by the bed and immediately felt a bitter pain in her heart, her eyes turning red.
"Wufu, why are you sleeping here? Come up to the bed," Madam Zhou gently shook Wufu's hand.
Wufu, still half-asleep, yawned and noticed the worry on Madam Zhou's face. She forced a smile, "Mother, you're awake? Are you hungry? I'll ask Hongyu to bring some food."
"I can eat by myself," Madam Zhou said as she got out of bed, but upon standing up, she swayed, dizzy and lightheaded.
