Zhou Dajun fled Wufu's home, like a headless fly, running home in a frantic panic. He knocked over Zhou Xiuer, who was holding a basin of beans in the courtyard, causing her to fall straight to the ground.
"Zhou Dajun, is a ghost chasing you from behind? Pick up those beans you spilled!" Zhou Xiuer chastised, rubbing her waist as she stood up. Smelling a strong odor of alcohol, she couldn't help but pinch her nose and step back, exclaiming, "Good heavens, did you pour an entire bottle of alcohol on yourself? It stinks to death!"
"Get lost!" Zhou Dajun shoved her aside, his eyes bloodshot, looking as if he could eat someone alive.
Zhou Xiuer was startled and froze on the spot.
Zhou Dajun had no intention of dealing with her; he needed to hide. He had committed murder. If Wufu came back, he would kill him.
It was then that Zhou Dajun's drunkenness finally began to fade, and he realized what he had done.
