Aunt Chen asked in a soft voice, "Asleep yet?"
"Asleep!" Xie Zhinuan replied softly.
Her eyes were filled with tenderness.
Under the oil lamp, the starlight in her eyes twinkled, exceptionally brilliant.
Xie Zhinuan tiptoed out of the room. Uncle Mute had already gone back to his room to sleep, and Xie Rong was still by the pond, playing with a bamboo pole.
Xie Zhinuan walked over slowly and stood beside him, "Aren't you going to sleep?"
"Can't sleep!" Xie Rong said softly.
He turned his head to glance at Xie Zhinuan and chuckled, "I'm just too happy!"
Receiving his sister back, his heart was overjoyed.
But this joy couldn't be shared with Xie Zhinuan; he could only silently revel in it.
"Even when happy, you need to rest. Sleep early, and tomorrow we'll rise early to go enjoy the wedding banquet. You were born into a wealthy family; I'm afraid you might not be used to staying in this humble farmhouse!"
"Not at all!" Xie Rong quickly denied.
