Qi Taiguo turned over and wrapped Cheng Su, who was facing away from him, in his arms, his hands holding on tight.
"What are you doing? Go to sleep!" said Cheng Su as she struggled briefly.
"Susu, are you, angry?" Qi Taiguo asked carefully.
Silence.
Qi Taiguo felt a tightness in his heart and tightened his grasp even more.
Cheng Su moved a little, turned around, and said, "You're squeezing me so tight I can hardly breathe!"
"Could you please not be angry?" Qi Taiguo looked into her eyes and said, "It hurts me a lot when you are like this."
Her indifference was even more suffocating to him than an all-out fight, as if she had erected a high wall in front of him, isolating him, making it impossible for him to get over it.
Cheng Su's eyelids drooped slightly as she muttered, "I'm not angry."
"But you said, you want me to transfer to a civilian job," Qi Taiguo said anxiously.
