The little guy vented his temper on Ye Xi too.
For a moment, Ye Xi didn't know what to say to mollify him.
Believing that Ye Xi had left in a huff due to the silence outside the door, Lu Youheng's room door burst open.
Lu Youheng rushed out and, seeing Ye Xi still at the doorway, he realized she hadn't gone.
Now that the door was open, the nanny finally relaxed.
The little guy huffily glanced at them both and, with a twist of his body, went back inside.
Ye Xi didn't rush in but stood at the doorway and asked, "Youyou, may I come in?"
Lu Youheng said nothing, but he also didn't refuse, thinking to himself, the door is open, isn't it? Do I need to invite you in?
Of course, he only thought that to himself and didn't actually say it aloud.
Ye Xi took his silence as acquiescence and stepped into the room.
The nanny followed behind her.
