Ye Xi had a long dream, and she didn't know what had happened.
When she opened her eyes, the gentle sunlight was streaming in through the thin white curtains, shining on her face.
Everything around her was extremely quiet, and the lightness in her body made her delirious for a while, unable to distinguish whether she was dreaming or in reality.
Footsteps could be heard at the door.
Soon after, the door was pushed open from the outside.
A nurse walked in, surprised, "You're awake?"
Ye Xi stared at her and asked, "Where am I?"
The nurse smiled, "In the hospital. Can't you tell by my outfit?"
Ye Xi's scattered thoughts finally began to refocus. By the time she remembered something, the nurse had already scanned her forehead temperature with a thermometer.
Ye Xi suddenly looked down and threw off the quilt.
The belly that had been round and bulging was gone.
She frantically touched it, then looked up at the nurse with a pale face and asked, "My baby, where's my baby?"
