Madam Pu was greatly alarmed and stood up, rushing outside in haste, with Pu Yanlan hurriedly following behind. When the two reached the second gate, they saw a palanquin being carried in by four servants, and upon seeing the person on the palanquin, Madam Pu broke into tears,
"My son! What has happened to you!"
She immediately attempted to rush over, but Pu Yuntian, weak and feeble, raised his hand to stop her,
"Mother, whatever you have to say, let's talk back in the room!"
Only then did Madam Pu realize her lapse in composure and hastily suppressed her tears, instructing the servants,
"Be careful as you carry him!"
The servants carried Pu Yuntian to his courtyard, with Pu Yanlan following behind Madam Pu. She carefully scrutinized her newly acknowledged brother. She had seen Pu Yuntian before but never as his sister.
