Fortunately, heaven did not doom the Gu Family. When the elder returned to the main island, he encountered the thief. The thief was a half-demon with skin flaps that allowed him to fly, and he moved with incredible speed. Although this half-demon had a formidable body, he was not a Great cultivator. The elder chased after him and, after casting a few spells, inflicted severe injuries all over his body. However, that demon human, truly audacious, hurled the Buddha's relic into the Nether Water Lake and escaped on his wings while the elder was distracted!
