When going through customs, Lu Jiaxin was worried her three paintings would be confiscated. To her surprise, during the check on the Mainland side, the official merely asked where the paintings were from, and as soon as Lu Jiaxin mentioned that she had found them at an antique market, they immediately let her pass. In Hong Kong, the inspection officers didn't even ask any questions before allowing her through.
Once she had passed the checkpoint, Lu Jiaxin saw Hu Ming waiting outside. She wasn't one for surprises; she had called Gu Xiuxiu the day before to tell her about her trip to Hong Kong.
