The police station quickly sent someone over, and upon hearing Ding Tangping claim he was Lu Jiaxin's grandfather, the officer initially wanted to mediate. However, Lu Jiaxin asserted that her grandparents had passed away long ago and that this man was an imposter, leaving the officer no choice but to take the man to the police station.
Once inside the police station, Ding Tangping told the police that he was Lu Jiaxin's grandfather and even produced his household registration book and a letter of introduction.
Lu Jiaxin categorically denied recognizing him, "My mom said, my grandparents died a long time ago. Where did you, a fraud, come from?"
Astonished, the officer asked, "Did your mom really say that?"
"Exactly, she told me herself," Lu Jiaxin said. Having such a father would be worse than him being dead; at least in death, the memories left behind would be pleasant.
