Gu Nanzhou had a strong urge to stroke her head. His eyes drooped as he gazed at her for a long while; in the end, he simply picked up a coat from the side and draped it gently over Su Wan's shoulders.
"Don't catch a cold," he said.
Su Wan still ignored him.
After a few more minutes, as she sensed the gaze on her fade away and heard the sound of footsteps receding, the door opening and then closing, Su Wan finally looked up.
She exhaled deeply, roughly wiped her face, which was wet with tears, and sat on the sofa in a daze for a while before getting up and walking to the bedroom.
She was truly exhausted today. She didn't want to think about anything; all she wanted was to take a bath and then lie down in bed and have a good sleep.
While Su Wan was washing up, Gu Nanzhou stood outside the door, his eyelashes drooping low to conceal all the intense emotions swirling in his eyes.
