After the Spring Festival, Jiang Ni, Xie Qiao, and Doctor Ji had dinner together.
It was a farewell meal.
"So, you won't be returning to London anymore?" Xie Qiao asked her during dinner.
The couplets of the New Year were still up in the manor, and through the glass doors of the dining room, one could still see several striking red "福" characters.
The festive atmosphere of the New Year seemed to linger.
But for Jiang Ni, it was all an illusion.
The manor was empty and quiet, and often, she would sit here alone, lost in thought.
She was not someone who particularly enjoyed lively scenes, but that didn't mean she could endure being alone.
"Not necessarily. I will still come over for business trips." She said with a smile, "My wedding is in April, and I will send you invitations. If you're free, you can come."
Xie Qiao paused in his movements, "So sudden?"
