Suddenly, Jiang Ni felt lost.
The late-night snack tasted like chewing wax; her mind was completely elsewhere.
Her hair no longer dripped water, so Qin Jijing draped the towel over one side. Then, he pulled out the chair next to her and sat down.
As a familiar scent drew near, Jiang Ni was startled and looked to the side.
He used to sit at the head of the table, but later, he moved to the opposite seat.
The seat beside her remained untouched.
She blinked and inquired with her eyes.
"Does it taste off?"
Qin Jijing glanced at the wonton soup in the bowl, initially not caring about his image, desperately blowing to cool it. Now, it took him half an eternity to take a single bite.
She shook her head, "It's really good. Want to try?"
He didn't move.
Jiang Ni guessed that he probably hadn't eaten. He usually didn't have the habit of eating late-night meals unless they finished late into the night, and she was too hungry, then he would come down and join her for a bit.
