Jiang Ni chattered away by herself for over ten minutes, while the other end of the phone was eerily silent, quiet enough to make her heart race uncontrollably.
"Are... are you still listening?" If it weren't for the faint sound of horns from the other end, she would have thought the call had ended.
"Mhm." Qin Jijing put down the spare phone, "Did you receive the evening gown?"
Jiang Ni's eyelashes fluttered as her voice soared with excitement, "I got it!"
"So it was you who sent it. Why send me an evening gown out of the blue? There aren't any events coming up that I need to attend."
"Music concert." He paused, then said, "I'll land at seven in the evening, I can make it in time."
"..." Jiang Ni was of course aware of the purpose, but she hadn't expected him to return!
"You don't have to rush back for this, it's fine if I go alone or we go together next time. Work is more important!"
