"Yes!"
Lai Zhiyun suddenly sat up.
She moved the stuffed animal to her left, making space for Zhou Liao to sit beside her, and together they looked at the pictures.
Out of the dozen or so photos, Lai Zhiyun liked best the one where she smiled most radiantly, her relaxed and natural smile was infectious, displaying a genuine joy that emanated from the depths of her heart; it was clear she was both trusting and at ease with the camera and the person taking her photo.
"Alright, your turn," she said after viewing the photos Zhou Liao had taken of her.
Standing up, Lai Zhiyun grabbed her own phone, ready to show off her skills.
"I'd rather not," Zhou Liao tried to resist.
"No way, hurry up and sit still. I need to post this on social media once we're done," she insisted.
Hearing this, Zhou Liao stopped struggling.
Sitting amidst a pile of plush toys with a resigned expression, he allowed Zhiyun to take pictures with her phone.
"Smile."
