Ji Shunuan's gaze followed the man's fingertips, slowly moving upward until her eyes finally rested on the side of the man's neck, where his shirt collar was slightly open.
Just beneath the distinct collarbone, she vaguely saw a long scar on his chest.
She wanted to lower her gaze for a clearer look, but realized that Bo Jingcheng had suddenly woken up.
"Hiss," the man grunted softly.
He instinctively grabbed her wrist, as if afraid she would disappear. His grip was somewhat strong; Ji Shunuan's wrist was tightly held by him. She looked at his well-defined fingertips and did not struggle.
"Awake?" Ji Shunuan asked in a low voice.
Bo Jingcheng appeared somewhat dazed, lifting his head to discover that at some point, he had actually fallen soundly asleep on Ji Shunuan's shoulder.
A sense of disbelief flashed through the depths of his eyes; even he found it quite ridiculous.
"How did I fall asleep?" Bo Jingcheng's voice was husky with a hint of magnetism, just having woken up.
