Ji Shunuan tried hard to see clearly, but she felt a darkness envelop her vision, and she lost consciousness.

"Hiss." Ji Shunuan groaned softly.
Pain spread constantly throughout her body, and her bones felt as if they had shattered.
The glaring sunlight poured in from outside the window, and she instinctively raised her hand to block her eyes as she looked around, realizing she was lying in a VIP hospital ward.
The room was white, filled with the scent of antiseptics.
Everything was telling her that the car accident was real, and she was now in the hospital.
"An Linlin." Ji Shunuan struggled to get up.
She lost her balance and fell back onto the bed. She turned her head toward the door and noticed that the door was ajar, with a tall figure standing outside, speaking in a subdued voice.
The man's silhouette somehow conveyed an overwhelming sense of authority.
"You're awake?" The man outside heard the noise, pushed the door open, and entered.
Ji Shunuan lay on the bed, her almond-shaped eyes watchful as she was about to speak, but the man interrupted her first.
"I'm truly sorry. It was my assistant who was distracted while driving and accidentally hit your car. But rest assured, I will take full responsibility for this matter, and I will bear all the losses," the man's magnetic voice spoke solemnly.
Her questioning words got stuck in her throat.
Ji Shunuan narrowed her almond-shaped eyes, looking at the man's incredibly handsome face that seemed carved like a sculpture, with a powerful yet restrained aura, clearly not on the same level as those from the Ji Gu.
"So, it was you that hit me?" Ji Shunuan fell silent for a moment before asking with knitted brows.
She was testing this person to see who had sent him, or if the car accident was truly just an accident.
"Yes, I am truly sorry!" The man's attitude was sincere as he bowed to her.
Holding out a business card, he spoke with a deep voice, "My name is Bo Jingcheng. If you have any needs in the future, please feel free to ask."
Ji Shunuan stared blankly at the name 'Bo' on the card.
The surname Bo was very rare, and even more so in Jincheng, it was the name of nobility.
It seemed that she had overthought the car accident.
"Ji Shunuan," she acknowledged him with a slight nod of her head.
As she moved her neck, it aggravated the pain from the injuries on her body, causing her to groan in pain. Bo Jingcheng, seeing this, quickly stepped forward and supported her body to help her lie down smoothly.

The man rubbed his temples helplessly!
"Young lady, don't be afraid! From now on, grandma will take care of you. This little bastard actually hurt you, I'll make the decisions here! With men like him, who are old bachelors, they can't do anything besides making money."
"You'd better extort a large sum of money from him! Demand two billion from him, and have him wait on you hand and foot until you are discharged, or else accuse him of drunk driving so he ends up behind bars," the old lady, hands on hips, told Ji Shunuan.

Her mouth twitched as she watched the scene of the old woman scolding Bo Jingcheng.

"I'm alright," Ji Shunuan replied softly.
Clearly, she was baffled by her current situation.
Bo Jingcheng had hit her with his car, yet his grandmother was taking up for her? As she watched the man's helpless expression, the confusion in her eyes deepened.
"You look quite young, are you single? Coincidentally, my grandson is 29 this year and also single! Having him take care of you would be fitting; don't be shy with him," the old lady said.
Feeling the corner of her mouth twitch, Ji Shunuan experienced the illusion of being forced into a matchmaking situation.
"Grandma, please go out first," Bo Jingcheng interjected as he strode forward, placed his hand on the old lady's shoulder, and sternly helped her up and pushed her towards the door.
As the old lady was being ushered out, she didn't forget to scold, "I'll go, but you better take good care of this young lady, and don't bully her."
"Yes, yes, yes," Bo Jingcheng quickly assented.
As Ji Shunuan watched the two of them leave, she hurriedly reached for her phone on the side and was surprised to find it fully charged.
She quickly turned it on, noticing many missed calls and messages.
"Ring." Gu Zhiyuan's call immediately came through.
She had blocked his number previously, but he had managed to call her from the office phone.
Ji Shunuan rubbed her temples and remained silent for a while before finally answering.
"Ji Shunuan, where on earth did you disappear to? Is it just because I broke up with you that you resort to vanishing? You're not even coming back to the company; do you plan on missing work altogether?"
"Let me tell you, if you don't return to the company within half an hour to deal with the matter concerning the China Railway project, don't bother coming back ever," Gu Zhiyuan raged over the phone.
Listening to his furious voice, Ji Shunuan felt her mood instantly brighten.
Obviously, because she hadn't returned to the company, there were problems with the project.

Apart from her, no one in the company knew the details of the project.

Without giving him a chance to retort, she hung up directly.
Gu Zhiyuan tried to call back immediately, but she blocked him on the spot.
"Linlin, how are you?" Ji Shunuan promptly called An Linlin.
After all, only she and An Linlin were in the car, and she was uncertain about her friend's injuries.
"I was forcibly taken back by the An Family, my injuries aren't serious! How about you? If your injuries are severe, remember to demand compensation from that guy, driving recklessly on the road..." An Linlin said, her anger flaring up.

After hanging up the phone, Ji Shunuan felt as if all the energy had been drained from her body.
