Hospital Interior
Several figures wearing masks and hats burst into the ward only to find no one inside!
"Where is she?" Their faces turned pale with shock.
They left the room to check the ward number and found it to be correct.
They searched from the 8th floor down to the 1st, and then from the 1st floor up to the top floor.
However, they found no trace of Ji Shunuan; the leader became frantic and quickly took out his cell phone, walked to a corner, and made a call, whispering, "Young Master Gu, we've looked everywhere, Miss Ji is nowhere to be found in the hospital."
On the other end of the phone, Gu Zhiyuan was drinking his wine with full confidence.
His previously good mood was spoiled by his subordinate's words, and he could no longer drink his wine.
"What do you mean she's nowhere to be found in the hospital? She's in ward 803. If you can't find her, you can all get lost," Gu Zhiyuan said coldly.
Having grown accustomed to his scoldings, the subordinate didn't take it to heart.
"Young Master Gu, I checked with the hospital's front desk, and they said there's no record of Ji Shunuan being hospitalized!" the subordinate said, not forgetting to send the recorded conversation via WeChat.
Gu Zhiyuan switched the call to speakerphone and listened to the recording after opening it.
"Damn it, how can a living person just disappear from the hospital?" Gu Zhiyuan clenched his jaws, angry enough to cause a toothache.
He slammed his cell phone aside and drained the wineglass of its red wine in one gulp.
Thinking of Ji Shunuan lying in the hospital bed, he irritably tugged at his collar, and as he turned around, a pair of delicate, jade hands reached out from behind him and tightly encircled his waist.
"Is sister still angry? If I had known she would make a fuss, I wouldn't have wanted to be with you openly. It's all my fault, I love you too much," Ji Wushuang spoke in a soft and spoiled voice.
Her body pressed close to Gu Zhiyuan, and she could feel him tense up.
"Hiss," Gu Zhiyuan let out a muffled groan.
The fire within him was kindled by her touch.
He quickly turned around to see her looking up at him pitifully, her eyes brimming with tears, one hand lightly tugging at her bath towel, which seemed loose and about to fall any second.
Ji Wushuang took a half step back, her hands crossed over her chest.
"Did I...say something wrong?" Ji Wushuang bit her lip, looking away as if hurt, then turned around in a flurry, muttering softly, "It's all my fault! If sister hadn't driven me out, I wouldn't have come to bother brother Gu."
"I'll change and go home now, I...ah." She spoke as tears instantly began to fall.
In the moment of her turn, she clumsily tripped over something and fell to the ground.
She lay there, her hair falling over, half-covering her fragrant shoulders.
Gu Zhiyuan stood there, his dark eyes fixed on Ji Wushuang's tempting little face, his Adam's apple bobbing, he took large strides forward and scooped her into his arms.
"Ah, brother Gu, don't, please don't," Ji Wushuang panicked.
Her wide eyes were like those of a soul snatcher!
Seductive and inviting, she struggled continuously, but in truth.
Gu Zhiyuan's body, fresh from battle, seemed to be awakened by her, beyond control.
He picked her up, turned around, and pressed her onto the couch by the floor-to-ceiling window, as the trees outside swayed.
She was unable to move her body, and tears kept streaming down from Ji Wushuang's eyes.
"Brother Gu, don't, please don't! We'll be seen, ah... it hurts, it really hurts," Ji Wushuang struggled continuously.
But every sentence she uttered, every move she made, seemed designed to provoke him.
Gu Zhiyuan was exhausted in body and mind, his dissatisfaction had long been piling up like a mountain, and now, drunk and in need of an outlet, he completely succumbed under her seduction.
Ji Wushuang was tossed about by him until she fell, her sweat dampening her hair. She turned her head to look at Gu Zhiyuan, who was asleep.

"Gu Zhiyuan, you can only be mine!" Ji Wushuang said coldly.
Her vulnerability from just moments ago was retracted, her gaze was terrifyingly cold, and not a trace of pity remained in her posture.
Her eyes fell on the mobile phone beside her, she reached out, took his phone, unlocked the screen with his fingerprint, and took a few scandalous selfies of them together.
"Ji Shunuan! You didn't die this time, consider yourself lucky," Ji Wushuang said coldly.
After sending the photos, she deleted all traces of them and lay back down beside Gu Zhiyuan, greed filling her eyes as she watched him sleep soundly.
The Ji Family's wealth all belonged to Ji Shunuan, no matter how hard she tried, it was pointless.
Gu Zhiyuan belonged to Ji Shunuan, even though she seduced him into her bed, he still got engaged in the end.
She had worked so hard! There was no way she would concede even a little bit.
Once Ji Shunuan was dead, everything would be hers!
The Ji Family would be hers, so would Gu Corporation; everything should belong to her.
Thinking this, Ji Wushuang's chest heaved with excitement! Her restless hands wandered over Gu Zhiyuan's body, and with a supple, boneless body, she climbed on top of him and then…
She reached for the mobile phone beside her, staring at it for a long while, a bold plan forming in her mind.
"Ji Shunuan, it's been three days! You've been missing for a whole three days, I don't believe you can stand not showing up," Ji Wushuang muttered, a calculated fierceness gleaming in her eyes.
Binhai Number One
The slanting sunset rays poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a soft light on the chaise longue, where Ji Shunuan slowly opened her eyes to the sight of hydrangeas blooming on the windowsill.
It took her a moment to come to her senses.
"Hiss." She groaned softly, struggling to prop herself up.
But she noticed that the pain in her body was not as intense as before.
Ji Shunuan was somewhat astonished, quickly moving her hands, then her legs; the pain was diminished, yet her body stiffened in shock.
"Is it my imagination?" Ji Shunuan murmured in disbelief.
She braced herself with the armrest and managed to sit up on her own.
The man at her side, who had been reading, quickly put down his book at the sound and stood up to approach her.
The man was in a white outer robe, with casual grey clothes underneath, exuding the air of a sunny, young man, and while he had a faint tobacco scent, it wasn't overpowering.
"How do you feel? Does it hurt less?" the man asked softly.
Ji Shunuan moved her hands and feet, nodding a little joyously, "Yes, the pain has eased, and I can get out of bed now."
Hearing this, the man quickly crouched down, holding her foot and shaking it side to side.
"Does it hurt?" he inquired.
Ji Shunuan shook her head, "It's not very painful, I can bear it."
"Good, good! It seems that Bo Jingcheng's efforts weren't in vain. He made several international calls last night, these equipments all came from abroad. Even the medicine you are using, it's top-tier and limited in the world."
"Many wealthy people have to enter a raffle and wait in line, and even with money, it's near impossible to get such medicine, but it all came here for you!"
"You don't know, he was up all night, looking as dark as the bottom of a pot. I've known him for more than 20 years and this is the first time I've seen him this anxious, tsk tsk tsk," the man teased in a low voice.
The image of Bo Jingcheng last night, hearing about the marriage, flashed through Ji Shunuan's mind. She had thought he was rejecting it.
But he was anxious! Was he worried about neglecting her?
"So, you are?" Ji Shunuan asked, a hint of confusion in her eyes.
The man pulled out a business card and handed it to her, introducing himself generously, "Huo Mianmo, 28 years old! I'm Bo Jingcheng's childhood friend and a medical doctor."
