The stench was overwhelming.

Teacher Xie's face was full of disgust.

Learning that she was starting her vacation early, Old Liang suggested, "It's rare for you to come home early this time, so spend more time with your mom and help prepare for the New Year celebrations. Don't just cling to your tablet and phone all day, messing around."

"Dad, I'm dealing with work," Liang Weining explained.

"Yeah, I wasn't talking about you."

Leaving those words behind, Old Liang silently got up and left.

The atmosphere was off.

Putting down her chopsticks, Weining blankly lifted her head to look at her mother and tentatively asked, "Did you two have a fight?"

For an old couple, it's unlikely.
