Yao Qing looked at the face beneath the woman's sunglasses, searching her memory for a while before she vaguely recalled who she was.
"Miss Li."
Li Meng, Yanshen's former neighbor, but after what happened last time, she no longer was.
She should be referred to as Tang Yi's friend who knew her face but not her heart.
Li Meng probably hadn't expected to see Yao Qing at the hospital either; she took off her sunglasses only to put them back on shortly afterward.
The elevator doors closed, and her voice was somewhat hoarse.
"I've caught a cold recently and came to get some medicine. Miss Yao, are you sick too... Didn't Mr. Yu come with you?"
Hearing the probing in her words, Yao Qing's face showed no fluctuation.
"No, I came by myself."
With a thoughtful 'oh', Li Meng dropped the subject.
A brief silence fell inside the elevator.
Yao Qing didn't really want to deal with her, while Li Meng might have wanted to say something but for some unknown reason, she refrained.
