In a side room of the back courtyard, three people were seated in front of a small table.
Upon hearing the noise, the three turned their heads.
"Jiang Li has arrived," Ye Mingyu said.
Jiang Li looked into the room.
Jih Heng smiled at her; no matter when she saw him, he was always so resplendent. Seated in the Ye Family's plain room, which was devoid of anything special, he yet made the space seem brighter by his presence.
"Uncle, you can go back first, I have a few words to speak with the Duke," Jiang Li said with a smile.
Ye Mingyu looked at Jiang Li, and then at Jih Heng, restraining himself for a moment before finally leaving. "I'll be just outside in the courtyard. If there's anything, just call for me," he said.
He still didn't trust Jih Heng.
Once Ye Mingyu had left, the three people in the room also stood up.
