Chapter 25 - CHAPTER 25 MEETING GUILD MASTER AND MR. MARK

After waiting for some time the receptionist returned again and asked me to follow her to the guild master's office while she told me about it she also mentioned how the guild master of this town is a former B-ranked adventurer and so is Mr. Mark both of them are in their 50s so even though her strength wasn't wanning their stamina was way less than young B-ranked adventurers.

While we were talking we reached the guild master's office.

After entering I couldn't help but be a little intimidated as both eyes from the room fell on me I could feel both of them are a lot stronger then me even if I likely have more magic power from them, while I was musing over something like that I heard hearty laughter.

"Hoho, you bought quite a guest nina, you may leave "

A person with a goatee said he was sitting behind the desk so he is likely the guild master, receptionist nina left after a small bow, I was little flustered due to me being left alone with two people that are more stronger than me.

"You don't have to be nervous around us, but we are glad that you came here, having one more person that rivals B-rankers in strength could help us a lot."

The other person in the room with grey eyes and hair said, he was wearing black cloak , he is likely Mr. Mark the scout that brought in the information about the stampede, he said with a gentle smile on his face.

He was clearly overestimating my strength, so I shook my head hurriedly to clear this misunderstanding as soon as possible.

"You're wrong, I may have quite a lot of magic power but I am not really that skilled fighter you see, so at most I would rate myself at early C-rank, if combat strength is considered."

I said , trying to clear this misunderstanding I also thought the reason I could give for lack of combat experience.

"I see.... If that's the case then we won't pry, but it would be alright if we consider you as strong as C-rankers?"

The guild master asked with a diflated tone, I could understand them, after sensing the amount of magic power I had they were hopeful that they would gain a strong ally in such a perilous situation but that hope was squashed immediately, but they recovered almost instantly, I only nodded, the reason I knew about my strength and comparison it with adventurers is quite simple actually, I have fought a C-rank monster before and right now I am confident in defeating that snake which was called as Poison conda, a type of huge snake with poison so strong that it could melt the trees in seconds, I was able to injure it even when I was extremely inexperienced in use of magic, so now I have some experience I was sure I could defeat it, but I have no idea how I would fair against B-rank monsters so I just told them about how my combat won't rival there's. I just nodded their question .

"That's good as well, we only have 4 adventurers with the strength of C-rankers but with you we could arrange a more effective plan,"

Mr. Mark said trying to not demotivate me or the guild master, guild master also sighed and nodded towards Mr. Mark, after thinking for bit he opened his mouth.

"So what is your speciality? If we know about it then we can form a plan were we can use your expertise."

The Guild master said with serious expression I was bit taken aback by this statement as Adventurers generally don't like to tell others about their skills, but the situation right now was entirely different.

"I am a mage so obviously I should be at my back and I am good with elemental magic as well as barrier magic so I can both attack and defend but I think being on attack suits me better."

I explained my skill set without going into any details they were going to know about them anyway so I decided to be as truthful as possible. Both of them nodded and once again began thinking about formation they could prepare to fight that many monsters.

"I see, we will arrange D-rankers with you should be milli focused so that they can protect you while you cast the spell."

The Guild master said with a thoughtful expression on his face, I nodded at his assumption.

"Now that is decided, we thank you for coming to our aid, in our time of need."

Mr. Mark said with an emotional tone, I just shook my head.

"Don't worry as long as I get rewarded money I will fight."

I said in a light tone, trying to appear as nonchalant as possible, both of them nodded but I could see a warm smile on their faces,

"Anyway I will stay in the guild, if something happens please tell me about it , and I will help in defence."

I said as I left for the guild taverns, just like normal those tavern big sisters won't allow me to drink though I wasn't planning to drink at all right now, it could lead to deadly consequences, after the dinner I just sat in guild resting room while continuing my infusion as well as meditation, I observed that meditation had helped me alot like while meditating I recover my mana at faster pace it also helps me in keeping myself calm in situation like today, I even felt just bit more meditation can lead to awakening something truly remarkable, while I was doing my thing lot of faces were looking at me in confusion but they didn't disturb me and like this nights darkness retreated as dawn came at to surprise of the people messenger came bolting from the guild entrance and with desperate expression.

"Monsters are here!"

He said as he ran to report to the guild master.
