Chapter 142 - Over

*Bang!*

Next to the Cosmic Cube, a massive metal dragon head crashed heavily to the ground.

Hulk leaped over from a distance, smashing into a Chitauri soldier's flying craft mid-air, casually grabbing two Chitauri soldiers and tearing them in half.

Landing heavily beside the dragon head, Hulk roared, grabbed the dragon head from the ground, and hurled it at a Chitauri soldier in the sky.

Blake, holding the blade in one hand, descended from above, surveying the scene around him.

He placed a hand to his earpiece and called out to the old king outside the battlefield.

"It's almost time; you can deploy on your end! Tony, watch out for aircraft—fireworks are on their way!"

"Hulk!"

Blake looked at Hulk, who was picking up debris from the ground and hurling it at the sky.

"Roar?"

Hulk growled, turning his head to look at Blake.

"Watch the area; don't let any big guys get close here!"

Blake pointed to a dragon-shaped spaceship in the distance.

Hulk was holding a two-meter-long piece of the dragon-shaped ship's hull, preparing to throw it. Hearing Blake's words, he tilted his head thoughtfully, then raised the hull. *Bang!*

He smashed it directly on Blake's head.

Blake's body sank, his feet driven deep into the ground, almost up to his thighs.

"What are you doing, Hulk?"

Half-buried, Blake looked up, spread his hands in frustration, and yelled at Hulk.

"You liar! You promised! Hulk Smash soon!"

Hulk roared furiously at Blake.

Blake felt a little sheepish at Hulk's words.

Struggling to pull himself out of the ground, he explained, "There just weren't as many enemies before, so there weren't as many chances. But this time, Hulk, isn't the fight thrilling? Look at you—you're breathing heavier than before. Tired, right?"

Blake grinned, coaxing Hulk like a child.

Hulk grinned slightly, then—*Bang!*

A straight punch sent Blake flying dozens of meters.

"Hulk Smash. Hulk good!"

Smiling, Hulk leaped from the ground, charging at the incoming dragon-shaped spaceship in the distance.

"Ptuh, ptuh!"

Blake shook his head, spitting out a few blades of grass.

Just as he was about to shout at Hulk, the old king's voice came through his earpiece.

"Blake, the package has arrived!"

Blake looked up; a plane was approaching from the distance at the breach.

Tony was near the breach, clearing away surrounding soldiers.

"Thor!"

Blake called out to the God of Thunder.

"Give the wormhole entrance a few bolts of lightning to clear those pesky soldiers!"

Thor immediately summoned a wave of lightning, striking the wormhole entrance.

Blake flew up again to prevent any Chitauri soldiers from interfering.

Almost as soon as he was airborne, Tony flew in close alongside a fighter jet, accelerating in a steep climb right toward the wormhole's energy beam above.

"I can't do it! There are too many troops on the other side of the wormhole, too far to lock onto that big ship with precision!"

Shuri's voice crackled in his earpiece; she was remotely controlling a drone carrying a nuclear warhead.

"Then improve the chances—fly closer!"

As Tony spoke, he moved ahead of the aircraft, flying straight toward the wormhole.

This wasn't the Battle of New York, and there were no civilians below to worry about.

Tony advanced halfway through the opening, sweeping his high-powered disposable laser across the forces near the wormhole.

Thor followed behind, gathering a massive amount of lightning, hurling his hammer charged with lightning into the wormhole.

Before the jet entered, they had cleared a long path.

Unfortunately, there were still numerous dragon-shaped ships and Chitauri soldiers queuing to enter.

However, the gap created by Thor and Tony allowed the fighter jet to enter safely.

Shuri reacted quickly, maneuvering the jet inside the wormhole, veering off the main path of soldiers in space.

Adjusting course, she aimed the jet as close as possible to the command ship and locked onto the target.

"I've locked on! Oh yeah! Take this, big guy!"

Shuri, filled with excitement, pressed the launch button on her simulator!

Without hesitation, Blake took out Loki's scepter, throwing it towards the Cosmic Cube mid-air before even landing.

Truly worthy of an Infinity Stone—the scepter, embedded with the Mind Stone, directly pierced through the Space Stone's energy shield.

As soon as the scepter made contact with the outer shell of the Cosmic Cube, its energy shield lost control.

A shockwave swept out, clearing everything within a radius of several dozen meters.

The energy beam from the Cosmic Cube was cut off.

Ignoring the scepter on the ground, Blake stared intently at the wormhole above.

With the Cosmic Cube's energy supply cut off, the wormhole began slowly closing.

In space, on the other side of the wormhole, a flash of fire streaked across, heading toward the command ship.

*Boom!*

Even though they couldn't hear the explosion, everyone saw the massive command ship burst into flames, and they couldn't help but imagine the sound of it in their minds.

The timing was perfect; just as the shockwave approached the wormhole, it closed completely, restoring space to normal.

On the ground, the Chitauri soldiers and dragon-shaped ships suddenly lost power and fell to the ground.

Outside the energy shield, Wakandan warriors erupted in cheers.

Around the world, people watching on screens let out a cheer as well.

Almost simultaneously, Blake, Thor, and Tony landed next to the Cosmic Cube.

"Did you guys see me blasting through the wormhole just now? That was hands-down the greatest attack in human history!" Tony declared to the two.

Thor lifted his hammer.

"Your move looked impressive, but it hardly took out any troops—it was my hammer and lightning that wiped out the armies around the wormhole!"

Blake looked at them with disdain.

"If I hadn't been fighting off soldiers around the wormhole, neither of you could've cleared that many with a few extra moves. Got it?"

"Hmph!"

Thor and Tony scoffed, turning their heads away from each other.

The three stopped arguing and shared a slight victorious smile, gazing up at the sky from a 45-degree angle, standing on the grass surrounded by battle debris.

This scene was captured by cameras and broadcasted worldwide.

The three of them, framed by the battlefield, projected a feeling of desolate grandeur.

These were Earth's superheroes.

Everyone watching silently acknowledged this in their hearts.

Suddenly, a dark shadow flashed across the screen!

*Boom!*

A powerless dragon-shaped ship slid down from the side and crashed right onto the three heroes.

In that moment, just like when the wormhole fully closed, the entire world fell silent.
