The phrase "A filial child emerges under the rod" is a saying passed down, to a certain extent, can absolutely be considered a truth.
Blake once had a cousin about twenty years older than him, and when Blake had just started high school, this cousin's twins were already around ten years old.
These two kids were incredibly spoiled by their family.
For example, if you were watching TV and totally engrossed, they'd come over and change the channel! And just as you'd finally settled into the new program, they'd change the channel again.
If they'd been outside playing in the mud and came back, they'd wipe themselves on whatever was hanging on the clothesline, whether it was a towel or clothing, without a care.
If they wanted to go out or buy a toy, they expected an immediate response, no matter if the adults were busy. Otherwise, they'd throw a fit at home, slamming doors and breaking things.
One summer vacation, Blake went to stay at his grandma's place in the countryside, and his cousin happened to bring the kids over too.
After Blake had had enough of the little troublemakers, he held them down and gave them a good spanking.
Acting out? Spanking!
Demanding things without relent? Spanking!
Interrupting others when they were focused? Spanking!
Not eating properly? Spanking!
In summary, one word: spank!
After about ten days, the two kids were respectful and polite in front of Blake.
Now, in Blake's eyes, Loki was just like one of those spoiled brats.
Though the level of mischief was far greater, the essence was the same.
Sarcastic tone? He'd get kicked!
Not cooperating when asked? Another kick!
Originally, Thor came down to settle scores with Loki, planning to give him a good beating and then take him back to Asgard. But now, he could barely stand to watch anymore; to be honest, he even felt a bit sorry for his brother.
Finally managing to persuade Blake to give him a little time to talk to Loki, Thor and Loki squatted together on the deck of the Helicarrier, braving the biting wind high up in the sky.
A sullen Thor, with a bruised and battered Loki beside him.
The two brothers sat in silence beneath a fighter jet.
After a long while…
Thor let out a sigh and slowly began to speak.
"Sigh! You should just cooperate and reveal the location of the Tesseract. If this keeps up, Blake will beat you to death, brother!"
Thor recalled the words Odin had told him when Blake had last left Asgard.
'Earth is about to enter a troubled time. Our encounters will become more frequent. If either of my sons causes you any trouble on Earth, beat them however you like, as hard as you like! If they dare to resist, call Heimdall, and I will handle them myself!'
When Odin had said this, he'd been grinning like a sunflower.
For a moment, Thor even wondered if he was truly Odin's son.
Before saying this, Odin had instructed him that once Thor finished handling the matters of the Nine Realms, he should go to Earth and spend time with Blake.
The more Thor thought about it, the more it seemed as though Odin had said that for his own benefit. He hadn't expected Loki to end up in Blake's hands too.
So, when Thor spoke to Loki, it was with genuine emotion, completely from the heart. After all, in front of Blake, they shared a common ground.
"Shut up! What's gotten into you? My brother! How have you become so weak after being on Earth for a while? I am a god of Asgard; how could I let a mere human—"
"Bang!"
Just as Loki was speaking, a hand grabbed the back of his head.
With a forceful smash into the deck, his entire head drove into it, leaving a human-sized dent in the layer of the deck.
"I've told you, stop going on about being an 'Asgardian god' and talking down about 'Earthlings.' Speak properly, or I'll smack your head until it becomes unrecognizable."
"Did you hear me?"
Blake, who had appeared out of nowhere, grabbed Loki by the hair, lifted his head, and asked menacingly.
"Uh-huh!"
Loki, with a look of utter defeat, nodded numbly.
Only then did Blake seem satisfied, reaching out to gently brush the dust off Loki's face.
"That's more like it. Have a good talk. I'll come find you both later!"
"Sigh!" Thor let out another long sigh.
"Give it up, brother! Hand over the Tesseract and come back to Asgard with me. I'll plead with Father on your behalf!"
"Save your hypocritical face, Thor. It makes me sick!"
Even though he'd been beaten to a pulp, Loki, facing his elder brother who had always overshadowed him, still showed no hint of goodwill.
After he spat out those words, Loki glanced around nervously, making sure Blake wasn't in sight.
Then he turned back to Thor and sneered.
"I am the true future King of Asgard. I have no interest in going back and playing the obedient child. Once I conquer Earth, I'll march on Asgard with my army and show everyone that only under my rule will Asgard reach its greatest glory!"
Thor put down his hammer and helplessly patted his forehead.
"Forget about conquering Earth—you can't even handle Blake. What makes you think you can conquer Earth?"
"I have an army!" Loki straightened up, chest puffed with pride.
"When my forces arrive, I will take the throne and obliterate everything on this wretched Earth, including that brute Blake!"
"Even now, you're still daydreaming about conquering Earth, the Nine Realms… all you bring is war and chaos. Even if you succeed, you won't be a fit King. Wake up, Loki. Come home with me. Mother is still waiting for you in Asgard!"
Thor stood up and grabbed Loki's collar firmly. Although his words started as harsh, they soon turned gentle as he tried to persuade him.
At the mention of his mother, a soft look briefly appeared in Loki's eyes, only to be quickly replaced by hostility.
"She's 'your' mother, Thor. I have no father, no mother. I'm just a Frost Giant, taken in by Odin so he could showcase his supposed benevolence and magnanimity. So stop with your phony face! Even if it kills me, I won't hand over the Tesseract. Just wait for the army to arrive!"
Loki looked at Thor, his gaze filled with disdain and pride, relishing Thor's helpless expression.
Unfortunately, his triumphant look didn't last even a second.
Blake, who had somehow reappeared behind Loki, let out a sinister laugh that sent shivers down the brothers' spines.
"So, you'd rather die than reveal the Tesseract's location? Impressive. Let's see if you really won't talk, even if it kills you!"
Before he even finished speaking, Blake lunged forward, grabbed one of Loki's ankles with his right hand, and yanked him up.
Loki was thrown to the ground with a hard smack, his head hitting the floor again.
"Ugh!"
A cry of pain barely left his mouth before Blake swung him up by his right foot, spinning him halfway around and slamming him down forcefully onto the ground.
"Bang!"
"Bang"
"Bang"
"Bang"
"Bang!"
