Chapter 48 - Wedding

Dozens of fierce and imposing men, hundreds of wreaths, lined up neatly on both sides of the red carpet from the hotel entrance all the way to the street.

Everything happened so quickly and suddenly.

A fleet of luxury cars blocked the entrance, and a group of men in black suits came holding wreaths, placing them on both sides of the red carpet.

Not only did these men in black suits place the wreaths, but they also stood in pairs, dozens of them standing on either side of the red carpet, making it clear that they wouldn't let anyone easily remove the wreaths.

"You... who are you? What do you want?" Gu's relative stammered, pointing at Blake.

The hotel staff had already wisely kept their mouths shut and asked no questions.

On a day of great celebration, to send wreaths—this clearly indicated a deep grudge. But judging by the fleet of cars and the situation, the people who came were clearly not ordinary.

He wouldn't meddle in this matter and directly turned around to leave.

Blake ignored Gu's relative, waved his hand, and another dozen or so men in black suits got out of the Ferrari fleet behind him.

They rushed over, directly carrying away Gu's relative, while also blocking the relatives and friends of the bride and groom coming out of the hotel.

In this situation, ordinary friends wouldn't dare to interfere, only the families of Gu and Qu came out to argue.

But these people were all blocked at the hotel entrance by a group of burly men in black suits. They didn't hit or curse anyone; they just let people shout if they wanted to shout.

They simply didn't allow anyone to come out and disturb Blake.

Even the newlyweds' fleet was not spared. Except for the lead car, each car had two men in black suits standing by, preventing the relatives and friends of the newlyweds from getting out.

Seeing that the scene was set, Blake finally smiled and walked step by step towards the lead car of the newlyweds.

Inside the car, Gu and Qu were completely bewildered the moment Blake got out of his car.

More than half a month ago, they had even hired someone to check on Blake's current situation.

He was muddling along, focused solely on reclaiming his company, with no stable job, living in a garage in the county, and being constantly hounded by creditors.

For some unknown reason, Qu had even sent him a wedding invitation.

But looking at the scene before them, the cost of renting this fleet alone was beyond Blake's means, let alone gathering so many people.

They prided themselves on knowing everything about Blake, but the scene in front of them was completely beyond their imagination.

And looking at Blake's attire and demeanor,

If it weren't for that familiar face, they wouldn't have believed this was Blake.

"What's wrong? Don't you recognize me? I came to attend your wedding and even arranged such a grand scene for you. Won't you at least say thank you?" Blake lightly knocked on the rear window.

Inside the car, Gu and Qu exchanged glances. Gu took a deep breath and lowered the window.

"Blake... Blake, why are you here?"

After mustering up the courage for a long time, Gu managed to utter such a trivial question.

"Didn't you send me the invitation?" Blake took out an invitation from his pocket and flicked it through the window.

Seeing the invitation, Gu turned and gave Qu a vicious look.

Although they didn't know what had happened to Blake, there was no way to avoid it today, and it wasn't the time to cause a scene.

The key was, looking at the situation, there was no way to outmatch them even if they tried.

Qu, who usually seemed fierce, was now silent when it mattered most.

Gu had no choice but to force a smile uglier than crying.

"Blake, I know we wronged you, but today is our wedding day. Could we talk about this after the ceremony?"

Indeed, Gu was right. With so many relatives and friends watching, they had to bite the bullet and finish the wedding first.

"Listen to you, as if I'm here to collect a debt. I'm just here to attend your wedding. Look, I even prepared a fleet and flowers for you."

"Look at your fleet. What kind of junk is this? You're about to become the chairman of a listed company. This doesn't match your status, brother!" Blake said with a grin.

Gu was furious inside. Who brings wreaths to a wedding as flowers?

They weren't causing a scene or hitting anyone, so calling the police wouldn't help. Sending wreaths wasn't illegal, right?

"Thank you for your kind gesture, but my wedding convoy is already here. Could you let us in? The wedding is about to start. And could you remove those 'flowers' for now?" Gu said through gritted teeth.

"Of course!" Blake snapped his fingers.

He waved towards the back, and the convoy, along with the pickup trucks, slowly moved into the driveway and left.

"You've got your convoy, but you can't refuse my flowers. Come on, get out of the car. I'm waiting to greet the bride and groom," Blake said with a grin, pulling out a party popper from somewhere.

Gu, unable to retreat, guided the convoy slowly into the hotel. He pulled the reluctant and somewhat fearful Qu out of the car.

Seeing the wreaths standing upright on both sides, Gu demonstrated his ability to endure and adapt.

Taking a deep breath, he walked slowly down the red carpet with Qu.

Blake genuinely admired Gu's composure. To be able to tolerate this was impressive.

However, Blake had planned this for over ten days and had more surprises in store.

Seeing the newlyweds on the red carpet, he waved his hand vigorously.

The men in black suits on either side of the carpet simultaneously pulled out party poppers hidden behind the wreaths.

"Bang! Bang!"

Each person had two, and in perfect synchrony, they popped them.

Instead of the usual shiny streamers, countless pieces of white paper the size of coins flew out.

At the entrance of a five-star hotel, with red carpet and balloons.

A couple in wedding attire, followed by bridesmaids and groomsmen.

But on both sides of the red carpet were wreaths used only for funerals, and white paper money was falling densely from above.

It was incredibly eerie!

Among the guests, some were indifferent, some had already called the police.

Some took out their phones to capture this rare bizarre moment.

Some were pushing and shoving at the entrance with the burly men in black suits.

Finally, as the paper money filled the air, someone couldn't hold back.

It was unclear which side they were from, but someone shouted, "You bastards have gone too far!"

Just as they were about to make a move, many cars in the hotel's parking lot opened their doors.

Another group of men in black suits rushed out, each holding a gleaming dagger, different from the previous group.

Although Blake had instructed them not to hurt anyone, causing such a scene at someone's wedding needed a show of force.

Sure enough, as the knife-wielding men in black suits charged forward, those who were restless quickly calmed down. Even the impulsive ones were held back by their relatives and friends.

Blake looked at the pale-faced Gu and Qu and said, "Do you think I'm being excessive? I think so too. So, I prepared a special gift for you, customized just for you two. It's very valuable!"
