Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : Orphan Again!?

Felix smiled bitterly as he reflected on his past experiences. His life had been a mix of good and bad luck.

"Don't let me know who killed me, or I'll... I'll... Fuck!" Felix cursed angrily, feeling frustrated and lost.

Even if he did figure out who killed him, he had no idea how to seek revenge.

Just the thought of it made Felix grind his teeth in anger. He punched the ground in frustration, only to wince in pain moments later.

" Hisss "

Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm himself down, " Calm down, there's always a way," he reminded himself.

" Let's look at the memories of this body " Felix thought as he began to look at the memories of the original owner of this body his soul have occupied.

A few minutes later Felix had a devasted look on his face, his mouth kept twitching, his gaze was vacant and a daze look.

" I'm dead, I'm completely dead " Faint illusory tears stream down his pale face.

" Fuck, how am I an orphan again?" Felix wiped the imaginary tears away and cursed angrily.

The person, also named Felix, had been an orphan just like him. He had been bought from a slave market by a kind man who treated him well, even removing the slave seal place on him,but that man had been killed under mysterious circumstances.

Since then, the original Felix had been living on the streets, doing whatever odd jobs he could find to survive. Despite resorting to stealing at times, Felix admired the resilience of the person whose body he now occupied.

Felix admires the original owner of this body because, after acquiring a certain amount of money, the guy took in a few orphans who lived on the streets by begging and looked after them.

He even bought a few from the slave market and released the slave seal on them, granting them freedom.

The people he took in loved and cared for him since he had rescued and cared for them. Even though he was poor and struggling, he had a family to love, which gave him a purpose to live.

As Felix browsed through the memories of the original owner, he had an envious and jealous look on his face. Back on Earth, he was one of the richest and most influential people, but he was extremely lonely with no family.

In contrast, the original owner, despite being poor and facing challenges, was surrounded by people who cared for him and loved him - people he could call family.

Felix shook his head and laughed, imagining if his predecessor had also traveled to another world or travel to Earth and maybe his body didn't explode along with the plane and his predecessor have taken over his body.

It would have been interesting to see a poor man suddenly becoming rich overnight and a rich man suddenly becoming poor overnight.

Felix chuckled at the thought and continued to browse through the memories. Just like Felix, his predecessor met an unfortunate end.

He was ambushed and beaten by a gang in a remote place because he refused to give in to their demands. Due to his thin, weak, and malnourished body, he tragically died.

Felix's expression was grim as he delved into the memories of his predecessor. He had nothing to his name, struggling to even afford three square meals a day.

From what he remembered, this world was far from peaceful - it was downright dangerous. On top of that, his current body was weak and in poor condition. How was he supposed to survive in this harsh world?

"Damn it, which god of transmigration brought me here? Take me back, I don't want to stay," Felix muttered angrily, gazing up at the night sky with a scowl.

Others seemed to luck out, being reborn into powerful families with badass names, badass parents and climbing to the top effortlessly.

But here he was, stuck in a poor and weak body, feeling utterly miserable.

Sighing, Felix rubbed his temples and forced a smile. Was this luck or just plain bad luck? He couldn't decide. On one hand, he was lucky to have reincarnated into a new world instead of perishing in a plane explosion. On the other hand, he was unlucky to be in such a vulnerable state in a dangerous world.

Leaning against the wall, Felix gazed up at the sky in surprise, " Huh, look at that this world have three moons ".

Three moons hung high above, their beauty captivating him. He hadn't expected this world to have three moons, let alone ones so enchanting.

Lost in their glow, he was snapped back to reality by a sudden breeze, shivering as he realized he had been lost in the moons' beauty.

"Might as well head back," Felix muttered to himself, pushing himself up with the help of the wall.

The simple act of standing caused him intense pain, making him grit his teeth.

"These people really pack a punch," he grumbled as he unsteadily rose to his feet.

Standing up, Felix finally took a closer look and realized he was in a narrow alley with a dead end behind him, while a long road stretched into the distance.

The alley was filled with garbage and had a terrible smell. With the dim light from the moons, Felix struggled to walk along the silent alley, using the walls for support.

After just twenty steps, he was already out of breath, with white mists escaping his mouth as he breathed.

"Man, this body is so out of shape," Felix grumbled as he winced in pain. Ten minutes later, he finally made it out of the alley, a journey that should have taken only two minutes but felt like an eternity.

Felix was amazed at how weak his body felt.

As he emerged from the smelly alley onto a bustling street, Felix was surrounded by people laughing and chatting, with lights illuminating the area, the scene was truly bustling.

Despite the strange looks he received, Felix continued on his way, ignoring the curious glances from passersby.

He took a sharp turn down a small path leading to a remote area with rundown buildings, some of which were barely standing. The place was dark, but the light from the moons provided just enough visibility.

Following his predecessor's memory, Felix navigated through a few alleys and continued walking for about half an hour until he reached a building surrounded by a tall stone fence. A few shadowy figures could be seen standing in front of the building.
