Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Celebration and Unfinished Business

The victory over Arlong had brought a sense of relief and joy to the crew and the villagers. The night was filled with celebration, laughter, and tears of happiness. The villagers had come together, risking their lives to fight against the oppressive rule of the fishmen, and now they were free.

As time passed, the Straw Hat crew sat together, sharing a meal with the villagers. The atmosphere was lively, but Alex couldn't shake the feeling that something was still unresolved. He turned to Nami, who was smiling and laughing with her fellow villagers.

"Nami, do you know what happened to Nezumi?" Alex asked, his voice cutting through the noise.

Nami's expression turned serious. "I think Genzo and the others took care of him. They weren't going to let him get away with stealing the money."

"Do you know where they are?" Alex inquired further.

Nami pointed towards the outskirts of the village. "They went that way. I can show you."

Alex nodded, standing up and following Nami as she led him through the village. As they walked, the sounds of celebration faded, replaced by the calmness of the night. They arrived at a small clearing where Genzo and a group of villagers were gathered. In the center, a bound and gagged Nezumi sat, looking furious but helpless.

Genzo looked up as they approached. "Ah, Alex, Nami. We were just about to take care of this rat."

"Before you do," Alex said, "can you tell us what happened?"

Genzo nodded and began recounting the events of the evening.

### Flashback:

Nezumi, clutching the treasure chest full of Nami's hard-earned money, snickered to himself as he slipped away from the village. "Hehe... foolish girl, thinking she could save her village by just stealing money. Now I'll be rich. This is the best part of being in the marines. The higher-ups always talk about justice and righteousness, but they don't know that running a branch costs a lot more money than they think. Hehe... I'm not doing this for myself but for the branch. If people don't get paid enough, how will they do their best?"

Suddenly, several villagers appeared before him, blocking his path. Genzo stepped forward, eyes fixed on the chest. "Where are you going with that box? That is not yours."

"Who are you? Who gave you permission to speak to me like this?" Nezumi sneered.

"I'm the village head, and that's not your box. It belongs to Nami."

"Oh, so you know that thief girl. Do you know what happens to people who stop marines from employing justice and catching thieves? They either get killed or get imprisoned. Do you want that?"

"But you know, I am a generous person," Nezumi said, making a weird face. "I will let you off if you just give me all the money you currently have. A good deal, right?"

"That's the money Nami saved!" one of the villagers exclaimed.

Genzo's eyes narrowed. "We've got to stop him."

Hearing Genzo's call, the villagers surrounded Nezumi and the marines.

"Don't you realize your mistake? You are attacking us. Don't you know the consequence of this?" Nezumi threatened.

"We don't care about any consequences. Our lives are already miserable because of Arlong. Since you didn't do much to him, you must be on the same team as him. We would have attacked his crew, putting our lives on the line, if it weren't for Nami trying to buy this village's freedom. We didn't want to let her hard work go to waste, but now it's over," Genzo said, his voice filled with resolve.

"Don't you realize your situation? You are just some villagers with sticks in your hands. Look at these guns pointing at you," Nezumi retorted.

Suddenly, the sound of walls breaking and fighting came from Arlong Park. Everyone turned to look in that direction, taking advantage of the distraction.

"Go, now! Shoot at their arms!" Genzo shouted.

The villagers ran with all their might, throwing whatever they had in their hands.

"Let me go! I'm a marine officer!" Nezumi shouted, struggling against their grip.

"You betrayed us and tried to steal our money," Genzo said, his voice filled with anger. "You're not getting away with this."

The villagers tied Nezumi up, making sure he couldn't escape. "We'll deal with him in the morning," Genzo said.

### Present:

As Genzo finished his story, Alex nodded, satisfied with the explanation. "Thank you for taking care of him," he said. "We'll make sure the higher-ups know about this too."

Nami looked at Nezumi, her eyes filled with a mixture of anger and relief. "You won't hurt anyone here ever again."

Alex turned to the villagers. "You've all shown incredible bravery today. You stood up against Arlong and his crew, and you protected your home. We'll make sure justice is served."

Genzo nodded, a smile forming on his face. "Thank you, Alex. Thank you all."

As the night drew to a close, Alex gathered the villagers and recorded his testimony with his smartphone, capturing the villagers' accounts and the evidence of Nezumi's betrayal. This would serve as proof against Nezumi and ensure that justice would be done.

### The Next Morning:

The Straw Hat crew prepared to leave Cocoyasi Village. The villagers gathered to see them off, gratitude and admiration in their eyes. Nami stood with her friends, a mixture of emotions playing across her face. She was leaving her home, but she was also embarking on a new adventure with her crew.

"Are you ready, Nami?" Luffy asked, his usual grin plastered on his face.

Nami nodded, tears of both joy and sorrow glistening in her eyes. "Yes, I am. Thank you for everything, everyone."

Genzo stepped forward, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Take care of yourself, Nami. And thank you, Straw Hat crew. You've given us our freedom back."

"We'll take good care of her," Luffy assured him, clenching his fist in determination.

With their farewells said, the crew set sail, leaving Cocoyasi Village behind.

After some time at sea, the crew reached a nearby marine branch. As they docked, they were met by Fullbody and the rest of the marines. The crew stepped off the ship, ready to present their evidence against Nezumi.

"How did it go?" Fullbody asked, noticing the crew's determined expressions.

Alex stepped forward. "We have evidence against Nezumi. He's been working with Arlong and stealing from the villagers."

Fullbody's expression shifted to one of interest and suspicion. "Evidence, you say? Let's see it."

Alex took out his smartphone. "It's all in here."

Fullbody made a skeptical face, examining the device in Alex's hand. "In this piece of stone? No... this is not an ordinary stone. I haven't seen anything like this. Is this some kind of paper?"

"No, just look," Alex said, ignoring Fullbody's confusion as he browsed through his phone. Fullbody's expression turned to shock as he watched the surface of the device change, displaying various patterns and shapes.

"What is all this? Why is it changing color and showing these unusual patterns?" Fullbody asked, still fixated on the phone.

Alex ignored Fullbody's questions and played the video. "Look, I recorded the whole thing."

The video showed Nami's confrontation with Nezumi and Arlong's incriminating speech. Fullbody's eyes widened as he watched.

"This... is this some new kind of visual Den Den Mushi? Why is it flat, and where's its face?" Fullbody asked, still confused.

"No, this is a smartphone, a secret technology from my hometown. Think of it as a combination of infinite tools. If you have the brains, you can build every technology and every useful and entertaining tool around it and use it through this device. Just like the recording I showed you, that's one of its features."

"It has all the capabilities of every Den Den Mushi variety available and more. It doesn't need food, doesn't sleep, and doesn't have any weaknesses like snails do. Its signal can't be intercepted, and even Conqueror's Haki doesn't affect it."

"Even... Conqueror's Haki doesn't affect it?" Fullbody repeated, astonished. The legendary Conqueror's Haki, a power known to be unstoppable, couldn't disrupt this device.

"This thing is incredible! It could make our work so much more efficient," Fullbody said, his eyes gleaming with excitement.

The Straw Hat crew, overhearing the conversation, was equally surprised. "Wow, what a wonderful thing! We could make a lot of money if we sell this," Nami said, her eyes turning into Beli signs.

"Conqueror's Haki, what is that? It sounds awesome," Luffy asked Zoro.

"I don't know. We'll ask Alex about it," Zoro replied.

Sensing an opportunity, Alex spoke up. "What do you say, Fullbody? Do you marines want these devices? I can offer you a big discount. I'll even gift you one for free as a test, but you'll only get access to the bare minimum features like recording and taking pictures. Everything else will come later."

"Beggar's can't be choosers. I'll gladly accept your offer," Fullbody said, his excitement palpable.

"Fine. After you use it, tell your superiors to contact me "

" okay , with that aside , we have evidence against nezumi and arlong , don't worry we will handle them " fullbody speaks looking at the straw hat crew

" remembering about arlong , give us the bounty of arlong , buggy and krieg pirates , and can you do me a favor , tell your superiors to cancel gin's bounty , now he has left his pirate work and works for me " alex spoke

" i will ask them about that , let's go and collect your money , maybe i have to call other branch'es to collect more money " fullbody tells alex jokingly
