ATHENA
It's been ages since I went into fight mode, but after discovering that I might have enemy wolves in my building, I can already feel adrenaline flood my system.
My heart drums wildly, signalling imminent danger, and the tips of my fingers cackle with electricity.
The scent gradually becomes stronger as I approach the double doors that lead to the common room. Thankfully, the doors are cracked open by a fraction.
Just as I raise my fingers to push the doors open, I pause when raised voices filter through the tiny crack.
"Why are strangers arguing in my office?" I whisper to myself, pressing my ears against the door.
I can hear Jasmine's voice loud and clear… and she does not sound happy.
"I thought I asked you to leave! What are you still doing here?"
"We're not going anywhere until we speak to Athena, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it."
I frown. Why does that fake baby voice sound so familiar?
