They wore body armor underneath their robes and donned intimidating crow masks. She pointed her finger at the two, taking a bold stance with her cat ears perked up high. "So you are the people who hurt my darling?" Kotori asked, demanding answers from them. "You're talking about the boy that Cecil fought? You should be glad we didn't finish him off." one of them replied. They stepped forward, slowly approaching Kotori. With each stride, Kotori braced herself for any possible attacks. They stopped in unison, with the same person speaking from before. "We're also going to be sparing your life as well; you should accept this offer with grace."
Kotori clenched her fists with a nervous smirk, unknowing their intentions. She tried to decipher their intentions, but it made no sense. "What are your intentions? You were just stalking us earlier, and now you're offering to spare my life. Not to mention, you nearly killed my darling!"
"Apologies for that incident, but, during that time, our orders were different. I haven't introduced ourselves properly. My name is Riko, and this is my twin brother, Liston." Compared to Liston, Riko was the more talkative one of the two. Liston has not let out a single word, he only stood in silence by Riko.
Kotori raised an eyebrow, still having a battle stance towards the twins. "Orders? So you were ordered to commit these attacks? I'm going to have to take you both in for questioning." She dug in her dress pockets, pulling out a police badge. "I'm actually an undercover police officer, and I'm placing you two under arrest under suspicion of attempted murder." Liston let out a loud grunt as his reaction caught the attention of Riko. A surge of bloodlust oozed out of Riko, filling the air with immense discomfort. His tone of voice changed, sounding completely different than before. "Ah, yes, that squad has garnered utterly incompetent allies. You were an absolute fool rejecting the offer of our mercy, a complete utter fool to be exact," he told Kotori.
Before she could reply, Riko darted towards Kotori, circulating strong winds around his arms. The speed could barely be seen by Kotori, causing her to switch her stance. "I need to block this!" she thought, putting her arms up to block the hit. She fortified her arms with Aura as well, increasing the defensive capabilities of her arms. She planned to block the attack and counterattack right after, but she didn't expect her plans to crumble already. Riko attacked, instantly catching Kotori off-guard. The blow sliced through Kotori's Aura, and the impact sent Kotori flying back. She smashed into the hotel wall, breaking through it on impact. The dust and debris scattered around the hall, blocking their vision. Kotori staggered upwards, pushing herself off the broken wall.
"Come on, miss police officer. Weren't you so confident just a few seconds ago?" Riko taunted. As the dust cleared, Kotori could see it now: Riko's magic abilities. Heavy amounts of wind circulated his arms, forming jagged claws. Kotori panted, feeling the weight of the damage collapse onto her. Her body twitched, struggling to stay on her feet. Not to mention, her arms were dripping with blood as she held a huge laceration on her arms. "For you to cut my Aura easily... those claws must be pretty sharp. So sharp that it could easily stab through a human, am I correct?"
It was a sudden question, but one that amused Riko. "Yes, it indeed can, miss police officer." Kotori remembered the two victims by the subway station, having been inflicted wounds by claws as well. "Could it be that you were the ones that murdered that innocent couple? Why would you do that?" Riko dashed at Kotori again, preparing to attack her once more. "You should focus on the battle, miss police officer." he says, slashing at Kotori. The slash only grazed her by a hair though, as Kotori rolled out of the attack last second. Finishing her roll, she leapt from the ground to deliver a solid knee to Riko's stomach. On impact, Kotori thrust her knee with all her might, only to have it feel shallow against the solid armor that they wore. Kotori knew that they had armor, but she didn't know that it would be this effective. With another swipe, Riko slashed at Kotori's side, sending her flying down to the other side of the hallway. Kotori was severely injured by the slash, and blood flew all over the place as she took off.
Managing to strike a landing, she noticed a shadow looming over her. It was Liston, who also had claws conjured out of wind. "Y-You have wind claws as well?!" Kotori screamed, seeing Liston's arm hurling above her. In a desperate attempt, she sent out a kick infused with aura at Liston's face. Luckily enough, her kick managed to connect before Liston's claw could reach her, staggering Liston for a moment while also smashing open a chunk of his crow mask. Liston was disoriented, so he wasn't able to cover his face right away, but that gave him enough time for Kotori to see it. His face had a huge scar on his right eye, and his race was a part of the Ogre tribe. "No wonder you both are so strong; you're ogres!"
While Kotori is distracted by the moment, Riko takes the opportunity to kick her from above. Taking a great leap, he falls onto Kotori with his leg sticking out, smashing it onto her back. The force of the blow was so strong that Kotori broke through the second floor, landing face-flat on the first floor. As the dust settled and the debris finished collapsing, Riko looked down at Kotori as he stood on top of her motionless body. "Your struggles were futile, policewoman." He raised his arm above Kotori, ready to stab her with his menacing wind claws. But, before he could finish Kotori off, a strong mist formed on the first floor of the hotel. Looking around, Riko observed the phenomenon. "This mist... could it be?" he said, trying to look through the heavy mist. He soon felt a sharp pain in his side, as if a knife pierced him. Looking next to him, he saw Keisha stabbing him with a knife. "I knew it, this mist was the cause of your magic, Keisha."
Keisha glanced up at Riko with an expression that left him confused. Keisha's face seemed like it was on the verge of tears, coupled with a pathetic whimper that only a dog could produce. "I can't believe I'm doing this...!" Keisha thought, nearly about to break down crying. "I want to run so bad, I really do!" Still conflicted in her thoughts, she felt the rough hand of Riko touch her shoulder, causing her to let out a high-pitched scream. "Impressive move, Keisha. You caught me off-guard, I didn't expect a thing!" Riko said, reassuring her. "But Keisha, if you want to stab someone, you need to thrust into them like you mean it. For example, you would want to do this." As Keisha still grasped onto her knife, Riko wielded her wrist and forcefully shoved the knife deeper into his side. A sight like this had Keisha freaking out, screaming even louder than before. Riko chuckled, patting Keisha on the head. "Calm down, Riko! You're still the big baby you once were back then."
Soon, a ball of gray mass formed in the room, catching the attention of Riko. "Hmm? What is that?" Then, at an incredible speed, it smashed into Riko, shattering through his armor in an instant. The impact was so strong, that he flew back in a ragdoll, completely unaware of such a powerful projectile. Standing from the rubble, Kotori wiped away the dust and debris from her clothing. "You bastards, I'm going to kill you crow fuckers!" Kotori roared as her cat ears twitched. She quickly built up a mass of gray energy in the palm of her hand within a span of a second, too quick for Riko to react. She then fires a beam directed at Riko's chest, not allowing him to recompose himself. It was built off the same gray energy as before and shoots out at incredible speeds. Blood splurged out of his wounds, and it left him gasping for air. "I'm ain't letting this shit slide!" Kotori said, charging up a final attack.
