The journey felt extremely slow as traffic congestion increased the closer we got to the center, and security checkpoints stopped us for ten minutes every 15 kilometers of travel. All I did during the trip was stare at the beautiful tall trees, which was enjoyable for the first three minutes.
We stopped for food when we found a quick refueling station. I was annoyed that it had no taste or flavor, but it was better than nothing. I was surprised when the others told me it tasted good. The station was, of course, under military protection, so we didn't worry about raids from the wild beasts that roamed between the cities.
The space between the main cities was more crowded with beasts than elsewhere, which is why Amon sometimes roams and eliminates beast waves he encounters to maintain safety. Sometimes, this responsibility falls on government forces.
