Chereads / Danmachi: Bell Gojo throughout the Multiverse / Chapter 112 - The Calm before the Storm

Chapter 112 - The Calm before the Storm

The Z Fighters embraced the peace they had fought so hard to achieve. Yet, none of them let their guard down. Training became a way of life, a daily routine that bound them closer together.

Goku, always eager to introduce friends, brought Bell to meet King Kai.

"King Kai!" Goku called cheerfully, his voice echoing across the serene planet.

King Kai adjusted his sunglasses and turned to see Goku and the silver-haired Bell standing together. "Goku! Who's this guy? Another fighter? Or just someone who can't resist my sense of humor?"

Bell chuckled. "I'm Bell, a friend of Goku's. He said you'd appreciate someone who knows how to laugh."

King Kai perked up. "Oh? Got a joke for me?"

Bell smirked and leaned forward. "Why don't skeletons fight each other?"

King Kai tilted his head. "Why?"

"Because they don't have the guts!"

King Kai burst into laughter, slapping his knee. "You're alright, Bell!"

As the conversation shifted, Bell telepathically reached out to King Kai. "I've been sensing something… off. Tell me, what do you know about Beerus and Whis?"

King Kai flinched slightly, his jovial demeanor fading. "Why do you ask?"

"Call it a hunch," Bell replied. "Something about the Destroyer's energy feels... restless. It's faint, but it's there."

King Kai sighed. "Whis is harmless. He's neutral and rarely interferes in anything significant. Beerus, on the other hand... He's lazy, sleeps for decades at a time, and is more obsessed with food than destruction most days. If you're worried, it might just be a fluctuation during his sleep cycle. Nothing to panic over."

Bell nodded, though his expression remained serious. "Thanks for the insight. One last thing—does an all-knowing being exist? I've got questions that might need divine answers."

King Kai looked puzzled. "You mean Zeno? Or the Grand Priest? Those are realms of existence far beyond my pay grade."

Bell grinned. "Good to know."

Back on Earth, Gohan trained intensely alongside Goku and Videl. Videl, determined to grow stronger, had figured out Gohan's secret identity as the Golden Warrior and insisted he teach her.

"Keep your stance steady," Gohan instructed, demonstrating. "Power comes from control, not just strength."

"I'll show you control!" Videl shot back, throwing a punch that Gohan easily dodged.

Nearby, Goten watched in awe, his small fists mimicking their movements. Suddenly, a familiar silver-haired figure landed nearby.

"Big bro Bell!" Goten shouted, running toward him.

Bell crouched to meet Goten's enthusiastic hug. "Goten, my little buddy! You've grown stronger since I last saw you."

"Yeah! Dad and I train every day!" Goten exclaimed proudly.

Bell stood and clapped his hands loudly. "Speaking of training, guess what? There's a World Martial Arts Tournament coming up!" he announced in a sing-song voice.

The announcement threw the household into chaos. Goku scrambled to pack, Gohan and Videl hurried to finish their sparring, and Chi-Chi insisted on organizing everything. Bell winked slyly toward Whis, whom he sensed watching from afar.

Far across the universe, Whis sneezed into his staff. "Oh dear, who's being annoying now?" he muttered, tracking Bell's antics. Watching the chaotic scene unfold, he chuckled—until he accidentally burned the water he was boiling. "Curse you, Bell!" he squawked dramatically. Beerus, still asleep, mumbled something incoherent, making Whis sigh.

At the tournament grounds, the Z Fighters reunited with old friends and familiar faces. The joyful atmosphere was infectious as everyone prepared for the event.

The Junior Division saw Goten, Linger, and other young fighters competing. Linger, Bell and Bulma's child, had become fast friends with Goten. Together, they stole the show with their incredible skills, leaving the audience in awe.

"Nice teamwork out there," Goten said, fist-bumping Linger.

"You too!" Linger replied with a grin.

As the Adult Division began, the competition intensified. Famous fighters from around the world gathered, but none could match the strength of the Z Fighters.

Amid the matches, two mysterious participants, Shin and Kibito, stood out. Their calm demeanor and air of mystery intrigued the group.

Gohan's match against Kibito was a spectacle. Just as Gohan began to gain the upper hand, Shin interrupted. "Stop the match. There's something far more important at stake here."

The Z Fighters exchanged confused glances.

Shin revealed his identity as the Supreme Kai, warning them about Babidi, a dark sorcerer seeking to revive the ancient and malevolent Majin Buu.

The tension escalated when two other fighters, Spopovich and Yamu, attacked Gohan mid-match, using a device to drain his energy. They fled, leaving the Z Fighters to pursue them alongside Shin.

The pursuit led to Babidi's spaceship, where a series of intense battles awaited. Each fighter faced Babidi's minions, showcasing their growing power and teamwork.

Bell, standing beside Goku and Vegeta, observed the ominous energy emanating from the ship. "This is just the beginning," he muttered.

Goku nodded. "Let's make sure it's the end before it gets worse."

With determination in their hearts, the Z Fighters prepared for the challenges ahead, knowing the fate of their world rested on their shoulders once again.

The pursuit of Spopovich and Yamu had led them to the threshold of the sorcerer's lair—a twisted, unnatural structure jutting out from the earth like a festering wound.

"This is it," Shin said, his voice low but resolute. "Beyond this point lies Babidi's spaceship. Inside, his forces are ready to defend him, and they'll stop at nothing to ensure Majin Buu's resurrection."

Bell stood at the front of the group, his sharp silver eyes scanning the terrain. "Defending him won't matter if we end this quickly," he remarked, his tone calm but deadly.

Vegeta crossed his arms, smirking. "We'll crush whoever stands in our way. Let's get on with it."

Supreme Kai raised a hand, cautioning them. "Underestimating Babidi would be a grave mistake. His minions are empowered by his magic, and the closer we get to Buu's chamber, the more dangerous they'll become."

"I've got a question," Goku said, cracking his knuckles. "How strong is Majin Buu supposed to be?"

Shin's expression darkened. "He's beyond anything you've faced before. Even I cannot guarantee victory against him. That's why we must stop Babidi before he releases Buu."

Bell clenched his fists. "Then we make sure that never happens."

The group entered the spaceship, descending into a large, circular chamber. The air felt thick with malevolent energy, and the walls seemed to pulse like a living organism.

From the shadows, a tall, armored figure stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with confidence. "I am Pui Pui," he announced, his voice echoing through the chamber. "I'll be your opponent. You won't leave this place alive."

Vegeta stepped forward, his golden aura sparking to life. "I'll handle this one."

Pui Pui laughed, a mocking sound that echoed off the walls. "You're no match for me, Saiyan. Babidi has blessed me with unimaginable power."

Vegeta tilted his head, unimpressed. "Unimaginable, huh? Let's test that."

The fight began, and Pui Pui attacked with a barrage of rapid strikes. Vegeta dodged effortlessly, his movements a blur. With a single punch to the gut, he sent Pui Pui sprawling across the chamber.

Pui Pui growled, leaping to his feet. "You'll regret that!" He fired an energy blast that shattered the floor, transporting them to a barren planet with intense gravity.

"This is my home turf," Pui Pui declared. "The gravity here is ten times stronger than Earth's! You won't even be able to move!"

Vegeta smirked, stretching his arms lazily. "Ten times? That's nothing."

In an instant, Vegeta vanished and reappeared behind Pui Pui, slamming his fist into the alien's spine. Pui Pui screamed in pain, but Vegeta didn't let up. A flurry of punches and kicks left Pui Pui battered and broken.

"This is for wasting my time," Vegeta said coldly, forming a sphere of energy in his palm. With a single blast, Pui Pui was obliterated.

The group was transported back to the spaceship.

The next chamber was shrouded in darkness. A guttural growl echoed through the space as a monstrous, four-legged creature emerged. Its glowing green eyes locked onto Goku.

"This one's mine," Goku said, stepping forward.

Yakon sniffed the air, his voice deep and menacing. "You smell... delicious. I'll feast on your light."

As the fight began, Yakon lunged at Goku with surprising speed, his claws slashing through the air. Goku dodged and countered with a kick that sent the beast skidding backward.

"Not bad," Goku said, powering up to Super Saiyan. His golden aura lit up the chamber, illuminating Yakon's grotesque form.

Yakon snarled, opening his mouth wide. He began to suck in Goku's energy, the golden light of his aura disappearing into the void.

"Oh no!" Krillin exclaimed. "He's absorbing Goku's energy!"

But Goku smirked. "Let's see how much you can take."

He powered up even further, his aura blazing like a sun. Yakon's body swelled grotesquely as he absorbed more energy than he could handle. With a final, agonized scream, Yakon exploded.

The final chamber before Babidi's was a throne room of sorts, with intricate carvings depicting scenes of destruction and chaos. Sitting on a dark, ornate throne was Dabura, the Demon King.

"So, you've made it this far," Dabura said, rising to his feet. "But this is where your journey ends."

Bell stepped forward, his Destroyer energy crackling around him. "You're strong," he acknowledged, "but strength alone won't save you."

Dabura's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Let's find out."

The battle was intense. Dabura's sword clashed against Bell's energy-formed staff, sparks flying with each strike. Bell's movements were precise, his attacks calculated. Dabura countered with dark magic, firing beams of destructive energy that forced Bell to stay on the defensive.

"Impressive," Dabura admitted. "But you're holding back, aren't you?"

Bell smirked. "Maybe a little."

With a burst of speed, Bell closed the distance between them, landing a powerful blow that sent Dabura crashing into the wall. Before Dabura could recover, Bell unleashed Forced Spirit Fission, siphoning the dark energy that empowered him.

"No!" Dabura roared as his strength faded.

Bell formed a sphere of energy in his palm. "This is for the innocents you've hurt." With a swift motion, he fired, disintegrating Dabura completely.

As the group reached Babidi's chamber, they were too late. The sorcerer stood before a massive, sealed cocoon, laughing maniacally.

"You're too late!" Babidi sneered. "Majin Buu will awaken, and the universe will tremble before his power!"

The Z Fighters braced themselves as the cocoon began to crack, a terrifying energy emanating from within.

"Stay ready!" Shin warned. "This is only the beginning!"

The air grew heavy as Majin Buu's laughter echoed through the chamber. The true battle was about to begin.

Can't catch Buu

The air in Babidi's chamber grew tense as Majin Buu stepped out of his cocoon. The rotund, pink creature tilted his head, his wide, childlike eyes scanning the Z Fighters. He clapped his hands together, bouncing slightly on his feet as though he were excited to play.

"Is this the almighty Majin Buu?" Vegeta sneered, stepping forward. "This is the creature the Kais have been trembling over? Really? Bubblegum?! I'll finish him in an instant."

Buu's head tilted further, an innocent giggle escaping his lips. "Bubblegum? Buu likes bubblegum!"

Vegeta powered up, his golden aura igniting as he transformed into a Super Saiyan. "Laugh while you can, you pink blob!" He charged at Buu, his fists glowing with energy.

The two clashed, Vegeta's punches and kicks landing with explosive force. At first, it seemed like Vegeta had the upper hand, his attacks driving Buu backward. A powerful uppercut sent Buu flying into the chamber wall, creating a crater.

The Z Fighters watched with bated breath. "Vegeta's doing it!" Krillin exclaimed.

"Don't celebrate yet," Piccolo muttered.

As the dust settled, Buu emerged from the rubble, completely unscathed. He clapped his hands together again, his giggle turning into a sinister chuckle.

Vegeta growled. "You think this is funny?!"

"Yes!" Buu said, bouncing back toward Vegeta.

Vegeta fired a barrage of energy blasts, each one exploding against Buu's body. When the smoke cleared, Buu's body wobbled and stretched, reforming instantly. He yawned, rubbing his belly.

"That tickled," Buu said. "Now it's Buu's turn!"

Before Vegeta could react, Buu lunged forward, slamming him into the ground with a single hand. Vegeta struggled, gritting his teeth as Buu sat on his chest, pinning him down effortlessly.

"Ne ne ne, Bu Bu!" Buu chanted, his voice mockingly sing-song. "Looks like you're stuck in some bubblegum!"

The Z Fighters stared in stunned silence as Vegeta flailed beneath Buu, his pride more wounded than his body.

Bell burst out laughing, holding his sides. "Oh no, Vegeta! You were the one mocking Bubblegum!"

Vegeta glared at him. "Shut up, you silver-haired clown!"

Bell grinned, crossing his arms. "I don't know, Vegeta. I think I approve of this guy. He's got a sense of humor!"

Buu looked at Bell, tilting his head again. "You think Buu funny?"

Bell nodded, still smirking. "Oh, definitely. I mean, how could someone so goofy-looking be the evil, overpowered creature the Kais fear so much?"

Supreme Kai's face was pale, his voice trembling. "You don't understand! Majin Buu is a force of destruction. He's pure chaos!"

Buu blinked, scratching his head. "Chaos? What's that?"

"Exactly my point!" Bell said, shaking his head.

Buu giggled again, bouncing off Vegeta and clapping his hands. "Buu likes this silver-haired guy. He's funny!"

Vegeta staggered to his feet, his pride in tatters. "I'll... I'll kill you!"

Buu poked his tongue out at Vegeta. "Ne ne ne Bu Bu! Can't catch Buu!"

The absurdity of the moment left everyone stunned. Even in the face of danger, Buu's bizarre antics seemed to defy all logic. But beneath the surface, the Z Fighters knew the truth—this was no joke. Majin Buu's power was unlike anything they'd faced before, and the battle was far from over.
