Chereads / Danmachi: Bell Gojo throughout the Multiverse / Chapter 110 - The Androids Arrive

Chapter 110 - The Androids Arrive

The day was hot, the sun beating down on the Z Fighters as they gathered on a small island near South City, just as Trunks had predicted. It was the day the Androids would arrive, and the tension in the air was palpable. The group had gathered together—Goku, Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chi-Chi, Bulma, and Bell, along with their baby, who was resting comfortably in a small carrier beside Bulma. They were all ready, but each of them knew the stakes were high.

Bulma stood slightly apart from the group, fiddling with a small device on her wrist. Beside her, Bell was holding their child, who was named "Linger"—a playful nod to the Briefs family's tradition of using unconventional names (a slight tribute to Bulma's father's "Underwear" naming trend, with "Linger" representing something more delicate but long-lasting).

"Are we sure this is where they'll be?" Goku asked, eyeing the horizon.

"Trunks said it would be today, so yes," Bulma replied, her voice laced with confidence but also concern. "And I've been working on a new spaceship in case we need it. It's been a while since we had to travel to another planet, but I want to be ready if anything happens."

"That's great, Bulma," Chi-Chi added, adjusting her martial arts gi. "We'll need all the backup we can get."

Gohan stood beside his father, silently surveying the surroundings. "I'm ready, Dad."

Goku smiled down at his son, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "We've been through a lot. We can handle this too."

Meanwhile, Yamcha and Krillin were stationed at South City, keeping an eye on the streets. They hadn't seen any sign of the androids yet, but they were on high alert. As Yamcha walked through the alleyways, his senses began to tingle with the strange, unsettling energy.

"Krillin, you feel that?" Yamcha said, his voice low.

"Yeah, I do. Something's coming," Krillin replied, his hand instinctively resting on his belt, ready to pull out his energy blasts.

Suddenly, from behind a building, Android 19 and Android 20 (Dr. Gero) appeared, their eyes glowing a menacing red. They stepped forward, their cold, mechanical expressions devoid of any human warmth.

"Ah, humans," Android 19 said in a robotic voice, "the last remnants of this world's resistance. How amusing."

Yamcha's face twisted into a scowl. "So, you're the Androids," he said, his stance ready for a fight.

"And you are a pest," Dr. Gero (Android 20) sneered. "A nuisance that needs to be removed."

With a flick of his hand, Android 19 released a blast of energy that pierced Yamcha's chest, causing the Z Fighter to stagger backward, blood spilling from the wound. He gasped for breath, his body wracked with pain as Android 19 charged forward and absorbed his energy.

"Yamcha!" Krillin shouted in horror, rushing forward to try and assist, but the androids quickly retreated back into the shadows.

Back on the island, the group felt the disturbance in the air, but they were already prepared. Goku was the first to step forward.

"Stay here, everyone. I've got this," Goku said, turning to face his friends.

Chi-Chi looked at him, worry in her eyes. "Goku, be careful. We don't know what they're capable of."

But Goku merely nodded. "Don't worry, Chi-Chi. I've taken my medicine, and I'm good to go!"

Goku's hair flickered briefly with the glow of golden light, transforming into Super Saiyan. With a burst of speed, he lunged at Android 19, his movements fluid and fast. The android tried to defend himself but was quickly overwhelmed by Goku's powerful attacks.

Goku's punches and kicks sent shockwaves through the air, each hit landing with the force of a freight train. He was in complete control. Every move was calculated, instinctual, and fueled by pure rage. He was no longer the same Goku who had struggled against the likes of Frieza; he had grown.

Bell, watching from a distance, nodded in approval. "He's learned to tap into his rage without losing control," he muttered to himself.

But just as Goku was about to land the final blow, Vegeta's unmistakable presence flared up in the distance.

Vegeta descended from the sky with a thunderous crash, his aura blazing with intense energy. He locked eyes with Android 19 and smirked.

"I'll handle this one, Kakarot," Vegeta said, stepping forward and cracking his knuckles. "You've done enough."

Goku nodded, stepping aside to let Vegeta take his place.

"Big Bang Attack!" Vegeta roared, his energy exploding outward as he unleashed the devastating blast. The energy engulfed Android 19, disintegrating the android in a flash of light.

Android 19's body was vaporized in an instant, leaving only the faintest traces of his existence.

Android 20 (Dr. Gero) watched from the shadows, his eyes narrowing. "So, this is the power of the Super Saiyan," he mused, retreating with a calculated step. "I must activate the others."

Dr. Gero, now aware that the tide was shifting in favor of the Z Fighters, retreated to his secret lab hidden deep in the mountains. Inside, he activated Androids 17 and 18, two androids that were much more powerful than Android 19.

"You two will be the end of Goku," Dr. Gero said, his voice filled with malice. "I trust you'll finish the job."

Android 17 looked disinterested, folding his arms. "We'll do what we want."

Android 18 smirked. "Don't tell us what to do, old man."

The two androids, with their power levels far surpassing anything Goku had encountered, turned on Dr. Gero.

"Dr. Gero, you were nothing but a means to an end," Android 17 said.

Before the scientist could respond, Android 18 crushed his head with a single swift movement, his lifeless body crumpling to the ground.

With Dr. Gero's death, Androids 17 and 18's rebellion was complete.

"Now," Android 18 said, turning to 17, "Let's find Goku and finish this."

They moved swiftly, heading toward the Z Fighters.

In the lab, the dormant Android 16 powered up, ready to fulfill his purpose—an unstoppable weapon capable of wiping out Goku.

Deep beneath the laboratory, something began to stir. A strange, bio-engineered being, a new creation of Dr. Gero, began to take shape. The creature's body was a grotesque mixture of organic and mechanical parts, and it began to absorb the cells of humans in order to increase its power.

This being was called Cell, and his mission was clear: he would one day absorb Androids 17 and 18 to reach his "perfect" form. But for now, he would wait, feeding on the energy of the humans he encountered.

As Cell's power began to grow, he realized the clock was ticking. His perfect form awaited him, but first, he would need to grow stronger.

The Z Fighters, unaware of the bio-android's presence, focused on their immediate task: stopping Androids 17, 18, and 16. But with Cell's emergence, a new threat loomed on the horizon—one that could change everything.
